The fact that I trained guys for a whole season (and trained them well considering I got a minimum of 1 pop per player every week in good skills) and could only sell them for roughly the same price that I bought them shows me that training is useless for profit purposes.

You are right about the salary floor factor that lessens the pain and it was my fault about the trainees, I was the one that suggested you train for profit - although I would have had different trainees.
