Bainsynators Plebs 65 - 101 Hobos

snzajder had 8-19, 18 pts, 3 rebs, 4 asts, 3 turnovers - 1 vote

ok so Leone had 8-13, 17 pts, 4 rebs, only 1 turnover, 3 steals and 3 blocks - no vote

even though Snzajder is my player i recokon that he did noweher near more that Leone to get a vote in what was a blowout match. therefore i request Leone get the 1 vote. if you are not satisfied with just looking at these stats Leone also kept his opponent to 5-15 in 48 mins

i am appealing this because if it was it was the other way round i would expect the votes to be all 3 to me not 2-1

C-Cat, do your thing

either way i win. i win appeal or snzajder gets the votes

Frankly, I'm not to fussed either way.

I'm loathe to give out all three votes unless it is a clear blowout. Despite Hobo's breaking the game open in the last, I don't think him having all three vote winners is justified.

Based on value to their team, I don't think it is all that close - Sznajder was the only Pleb to shoot above 33%. Its difficult to say what impact he had on D, due to the 2-3 zone, but the Hobo's guards didn't really get away from him.

Leone had a good game, but that is tempered by the fact that it was against an 18yo. His opponent was actually the second most efficient scorer for the Plebs, so I don't think his D was all that crash hot, in comparison to his teammates.

I guess the question I have to ask is, take the respective players away from their team, and what happens to the result.
Take away Leone, and I think Hobo's still win by a pretty comfortable margin.
Take away Sznajder, and I think it could've got really ugly

That's my rationale anyway.

okie dokie...

First off, the fact you are appealing that your player shouldn't get votes I'm going to take into account an insanity plea!

There's not a whole lot for me to say here other then a decision, both the for and against points have been made by the appealer and the original voter so I'm not gonna run through it all again and I'll keep it breif.

I'm gonna allow this appeal...

To me it seems a bit of a token vote for Snzajder to get a plebs player in there, they were out classed the whole game and while Snzajder did lead the plebs scoring it wasn't exactly a standout effort it was more a case of the best of the rest...
Leone was much more efficient and I'd say he was a large part in the Hobo's win with his hustle, 3 steals and 3 blocks is impressive. Having said all that we have to consider how attractive llamas mum is, which makes me wanna lean towards him but i guess i should do the right thing...

So go nuts, I have no issue with it being swapped so Leone gets the 1...

Maybe you should give Leone the 3 votes then. If only to see Fanny's reaction at you docking Marnix (the current MVP equal leader) votes

Great work C-Cat as always. The Judge is always right. I hate doing the MVPs in blowouts, really hard to be fair, what is better some nub who owned a lucky fan for 30 of a solid player on the losing team that at least beat his higher class rival.

Leeroy no appeals will be considered until you have stated in detail your case, that is your reasons for the appeal.

lol well old man lllama is copping a barrage of appeals this week isnt he!

So next up we have Leeeeeeeerrrrrooooooy! with his dispute that Ng Ting Yu should receive the 2 votes over Hemasita Tripathi.

Okie doke so lets get into it...

Well this one is a pickle... Tripathi was clearly the sharks best player, 26 points, 12 boards, 8 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks is bloody impressive no matter who you are or what the scores, but the fact he got so much scored on him at the other end does weaken his case also. The sharks did get smashed but realistically the only reason they did anything at all was because of Tripathi. 8 assists is technically another 16 points minimum he contributed, so that's 42 points he added on points and assists alone. He may have let up a lot of points but he also had 3 steals and 3 blocks also. 8 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals is a massive effort from PF.
Ting Yu on the other hand added 22 points and 19 rebounds himself in just 27 minutes which is also impressive, but with Tripathi playing the entire game he didnt put a foot wrong other then allowing a few points through which every Sharks player did. Tripathi was very close to a triple double with 3 steals and blocks tacked on as well. Without him i dont think there would have been much of a contest at all.

So while Ting Yu did have +7 rebounds and only -5 points in less minutes i think its to hard to ignore 8 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals from a PF in a losing team. I'm gonna have to knock this one back and leave it as it is, i dont think its justifiable to change it purely on less minutes and a few more rebounds. I normally rate the winning team very highly but win or lose Tripathi played a bloody good game, if Sharks had of won he'd have been the clear 3 vote getter so i think him getting 2 is acceptable.
