If we look at roster carrying costs, there is a slight advantage on the Great 8 but not much. Personally I think the Great 8 will be the tougher division mostly because teams will be adding to their roster that promoted (myself included) with the added money from moving up divisions.

You're probably right. I was going off of last season where I was able to make the playoffs with a D3 team and Great 8 lost both relegation series.

Yep, pay no attention to me either. I'm trotting around in mediocrity while figuring out what the hell I want to do.

So we got TTS volunteering for 8th, Isaiah for 7th, do we have a taker for 6th?

I'm going to set a record for skill drops this season, so it'll probably be me. Plus the fact that I haven't really cared about BB in many seasons. Save for knocking out this team on behalf of everyone:

Wonder what were the odds of that matchup ever taking place were? Guess it was destiny. RIP buying rookie 6th man scrubs & magically selling them 2 weeks later for $500k!

nearly everyone here has a superior arena to support their economy.

You have an almost 20k seat arena? That's already way more than enough for D2. Really 12k seats should be more than adequate. I'd quote myself from elsewhere (my last true joy of BB), but the site's too slow ATM.

Hey shikago I have read your strategy before...

I did enough math on it to realize that building arena early outweighs everything else especially when playing against bots. Since Div 5 I've always had one of the largest arena. Last season it helped me support an economy where I could muster enough firepower to win on the road in the playoffs. So I didn't have to wait another season to promote.

But in this Division I will not have that leverage. It will take longer to promote if I ever do. Especially against what looks to be stiff competition. Will be fun though. Div III was much to predictable. I'm glad to be here.

In Utopia I am going to worry less about the arena, but I still will prioritize it over trying to win a league. I just want to be in the running to advance up ranks. Oh and I LOVE old players...not 40 of them though LOL.

It was something about too big of an arena just leading to kids congregating on Pappy's lawn, and Sourpis having a complex about crowded men's room.

Almost as exciting as when Vardis Sourpis(s) (18733826) scored in your NT guard's face. Remember this?

though of course that would lead to all sorts of inquiries about what the other hand would then be doing

On a slight tangent:
Right around when your musical idol Paula Cole had that cowboy song you love (resisting the urge to post the "Jelme also really likes Paula Cole, so don't feel embarrassed!".jpg yet again)... there was a hit song about doing stuff with one hand: (http://youtu.be/LQ8D5Ihe4hg?t=2m47s)

Sadly I can't ensure it'll be played when you go out to eat though. They've tightened up security at a lot of the places you visit.

Edit -- can't resist after all:

Probably the most crushing failure I've ever suffered. It still haunts me.

I suppose this is where we draw straws to see who gets to say "Isn't it ironic?" about that. Unless, somehow, it ever actually becomes ironic.

A little too ironic.
