So do u train driving and handling up b4 u do OD , JR, and PA

Yes. I dont think JS is really linked to anything in regards to elastic effect. You dont want to go to high before going back and training other skills though. You end up stretching that rubber band out too far and it will really slow down the training. When starting out with a trainee, take handling (I prefer one on one forwards for the IS) to prolific or sensational, then move on to OD or JR to the same skill, then bring passing up last (age 20 or 21, it still pops at around .8 or so). At this point, you can decide what position you are building for. It really works for any position, just dont continue as high for certain skills for SF or PF.

Take my first trainee listed. I think he had 49 or 50 skill points to start. Not elite but they were in the right places. If he had more potential, given his age, it would be conceivable to hit 130 skills points by age 27 (he should pop JS and IS both in the next few weeks along with DR and HA before season's end). I will try for one more pop in IS to get him to sensational since it counts very little against his cap. I also know through OD training that he is probably around halfway through his sub to pop in ID, so I will probably pop that and then try another round of elastic training on passing until he caps. I think that would be wondrous but I dont know his cap sublevel of potential 8 so its a wild guess there. However, even with Superstar potential, he should finish with 120 skill points at the end of age 24 or early age 25. This isn't overly elite since he wasnt a primo trainee to begin with and 3/4 of his training was done with a level 4 trainer (I have had a level 5 for about a season and a half now but I am not exactly sure why), but they will be pretty nice guards in the end considering the price paid.

edit - Not claiming to be an absolute expert on training or elastic effect. These are my own experiences. There are posts and guys on the offsite that know a lot more about it than me.

I just did a experiment on coach parrot.

I ran training for 2 6 foot 21 years with the exactly the same skills except JS.
(everything else was the same including 7 JR)

I did 18 straight training one pos JR.

A
20 / 7 / 11 / 12 / 12 / 12 / 2 / 7 / 2 / 5
B
10 / 7 / 11 / 12 / 12 / 12 / 2 / 7 / 2 / 5

A. ended up with 21 JS and 15 JR

B. ended up with 13 JS and 14 JR

so it seems to me that JS is pushing up JR.

IF there was no elastic effect on JR than they both would have ended with the same JR

Than i did
A. 20 JS - DR 20 - HA 12 = 21 JS and 18 JR

B. 10 JS - DR 20 - HA 12 = 14 JS and 16 JR

than i did
A. 20 JS - 20 HA - DR 12 = 21 JS and 18 JR

B. 10 JS - 20 HA - DR 12 = 14 JS and 16 JR

than i did
A. 20 JS - DR 20 - HA 20 = 21 JS and 19 JR

B. 10 JS - DR 20 - HA 20 = 15 JS and 18 JR

These numbers state to me not only does JS push up JR so does HA and DR

But than again maybe coach parrot is wrong, so who knows.

I don't know much about coach parrot and how extensive of a research database it has. The sampling for rhyminsimon's training simulator is really accurate though. At least for classic sizes training in primary positions.

I think Josef Ka made coach parrot and i heard he has a pretty good reputation on buzzer beater.

I used rhyminison training simulator last year and it did not work right. (too many bugs)

If i remember right - one error was i input 2 pos inside def and and it would never update inside shoot not matter how many times i trained it.

another error was i input a guy with 7 driving and it down graded him to 5 and started training him from 5 instead of 7.

So that's the reason i use coach parrot.

But i am not sure any program could predict training with a 100% success rate.

The TS probably doesn't have a lot of data for two position training. I haven't strictly two position trained in a long time.

Rik Smits Clogs now has a scary lineup. I was quite busy this morning otherwise I wouldn't let Wes Childs to be sold for less than 400K. I sold him to save up due to a few mistakes I made in the market lately.

Anyway, good luck to Rik Smits Clogs. If he wins it all this season, it will be the first All-Americans team that I've seen that makes it to D. I.

And I also hope that my team will become somehow competitive next season :(

I'm glad you were busy then. I'm not sure I would have gone to 400k, but of course I would have probably gone to 300k and you would have made more selling him today for that than you would re-buying him, paying another week's salary and then having higher taxes come out.

That's a 600k roster
Man I was hoping all the taxation and salary floor etc would not lead to this
I am prepping myself for a monster roster prior to playoffs next season as well

In my case, none of that is relevant - I haven't been near the salary floor since it was implemented, and I'm still not near the tax because I've got well over 200k in training exceptions. I just went far enough in the Cup that I actually had what (for me) is a ton of money sitting around, and then there was this player who is nearly an ideal player for me if I do promote, who I could afford to purchase now. But it's not like I was sitting here with a minimum roster, trying to squeak into the playoffs, and then going out and buying four monsters to try to buy a title - it's more of a fortification of a team that was very close as it was and now, hopefully, can get over the hump.
