Hey, as y'all have noticed, I'm also a new face here, promoted from D.III after a few seasons in D.III. Just wanted to introduce myself, and say hey to everyone. Also, great outlook write up, and looking forward to seeing more throughout the season. Does anyone here use the genstat program?

@Ramquizibo, another random very distant connection is that I was recently playing against astral weeks, which I believe was a team you mentioned being connected to. They've been struggling a little lately.

I'm very excited to be a part of a league that has another active forum, however I'm a college student and the end of the semester is coming up, so I may be MIA from the forums and real dedicated league play for a majority of this season. Sorry, but just wanted to give y'all the heads up. And I look forward to playing with all of you this season. D.II, this is exciting!

Good write up.
Should be a fun season, even though I'm going to lose a lot.
Picked up some...interesting trainees. Probably will make small moves throughout the season to try different things.
I'm terrible at the transfer market. I search for weird things.

Heh. the last draftee that I liked was Doug Taylor. He's 28 now and even then was only All-Star potential. That was also back in D4 when I was able to train a role player potential guy and make 600k from it.

These are guys I bought. 2 projects that I think will either work out well or in a few seasons I'll be saying 'what was i thinking?'
Actually, I think I mostly bought Steele Bennett because I loved the name.
Saw a guy on the TL named Al Day. Was going to buy him just so I could call him "All Day" Al Day, but then I overslept and he went to China.
The third guy, I'm not even sure what I was thinking when I got him.
These are reasons why I'll never make it to the NBBA.

BTW, glad to see that Milner's injury wasn't serious.

Barbarian Marauders: A new face freshly promoted from the DIII league that gave us the Hayward Lumberjacks. Solid team that looks like it could avoid relegation, but the top players are getting a bit long in tooth. Promotion money may be enough to allow them to make some noise, but probably not to move far in the playoffs.

I hadn't noticed that. The money from D.III wasn't enough for a dental plan. I thought that when they got older their teeth just fell out. Turns out I have a bunch of Saber-tooths running around. Apparently the fans just thought it was the team trying to properly play the role as Barbarians. With that being said, Know any good dentists?

My next goal is to save enough for a level 6 dentist.

It's such a waste of money. I was spending 30k a week on one and still needed five root canals last season.

Shameless hired a level 6 dietician and level 6 nutritionist to get his slumpbusters in shape. The financial strain was too much so he went bot.

Was it the financial strain or the strain of being trapped under two of them for six weeks?

I like to think a small combination of both.
