17.000/3.100/460/45 makes 341.266 - demoted team, currently 1st, record 8-0.

12.000/10.000/500/50 makes 331.756 - myself, currently 2nd, record 7-1

18.000/2.000/500/20 makes 325.285 - 3rd, record 7-1

I'd think, that a demoted team should not make the most money, regardless of record - especially if the arena is far from the optimal standard. The "punishment" from the fan survey is non-existent. I will compare at the end of the season again.

Another conclusion would be, that the second cheapest category, is a total waste of money, if you can make the same/more with a huge number of bleachers.

So a team bottom with 0-22 is treated the same as a team bottom with 6-16 who finished close to the 7th place team. Real fans would see that differently.

Real fans would see that differently, however, I doubt it would matter to them that much. If a team is doing well, I'm pretty sure fans wouldn't care about how the team did last season. If 76ers all of a sudden became a great team next season, they'd probably have no trouble filling their arena.

I think last season's performance would only affect real team's attendance when a team has been consistently bad for a long period. People likely wouldn't want to see a bottom ranked team especially if that team has been at the bottom for several seasons.

The 76ers can't relegate so the comparison would be with a team staying in the same division, so immediately you're arguing a different point completely to me. I also don't think you've understood the point I was making, because what you're saying doesn't seem to relate to what I said.

Well even if a team were to relagate to a lower division, I'm not sure previous season's performance would factor into "real fans" behavior if the team was doing well.

That was bit off topic though and I do agree with you that fans should take into account W/L record for previous season's performance. However, I don't think its that big of an issue since the previous season's performance doesn't seem to affect attendance much(except for league champions), especially later into the season.

I would have to agree with you. Attendance is lower since the quality of the league is lower and fans are less interested and also maybe because they were used to seeing a higher level of competition in the previous season. I think this correlates with BB well. Lower divisions get lower attendance and relegating teams get an additional small attendance hit.
