I was hoping Langley would be a great SF trainee since I am working on guards currently. I figured with the PF label, his outside would need some work. Well, the big fat atrocious JR really puts a bind in his ability to ever be much of a scoring threat as a sf. His other skills are pretty good. He has 50 total skill points, so for the 50k I invested in the draft, I can't complain.

That resembles a complaint to me ;)

This is a complaint....

This is what I spent 280k in scouting on???? There is a good reason I hadn't invested the previous 7 seasons and I am pretty sure it will be at least that many till I do it again. Waste of time and money.

I try not to complain in the public forums?

Naw, he is alright. I wouldn't have targeted him on the TL, but being my own draftee, I may give him some run. I plugged him into the training simulator and with my current trainees, he will look a little odd but will be unique. A SF with prodigious passing and next to no JR might have a place in this game LOL!

You think that is a complaint? Wait until you see what I post in the next day or two regarding the draft :-)

Your "complaint" requires zero censorship from a GM. Need to work on your complaining.

I have spent 10k a week since season 12 and the best draftee I have ever gotten was my current trainee Mark Archer (Superstar POT). This includes 2 demotion seasons. Im not asking for MVP and HOF players every year, altho that would be nice. If you could at least land All Star players in the 1st round, you could at least train 30-40k role players for the future. Insted, you sell the shit you draft every season (or cut), and have to spend additional money on the transfer list to get a trainiee. I get that in D2 and D1 there is less 18 and 19yr old training, but for the majority of the teams in BB, Draft picks are the life blood of the game. Getting a prime pick could mean 500k-1M which could be a promotion changer.

When I got Archer in the draft I had to make a decision to demote down to train, rebuild from the bottom and move back on up. He made the U21 team late last season. All this was done mosly on 2 position training. In my 13 seasons I have spent at LEAST 1.6 million only to cut 2 or 3 of the draftees I get EVERY season. I love BB but some aspects of this game are total BS.

Fern Creek Clerics
Don Chidgey- $ 2 725, perennial allstar, 6'0"

Here are his stats if anyone is interested.
6/4/6/7/2/6/2/1/5/3

the 2/1 in IS/ID are sad. The 6 in OD and Passing, 7 in handling were nice and the short height. I didn't invest much at all so I thought he was an alright pick. In a few seasons he could be Doug Taylor's replacement.
I agree with others in wishing the draft was different.
I'd love to draft and keep a lot more players (I even have still have Christenson on my team that I trained as a 6th man potential guy in D4) but don't want to spend money on scouting points, especially when I'm still likely to end up with crap. I wish the system was just set up to give you a scouting point each day for logging in. Sure you'd get 7 a week instead of 0-4, but I've also never understood why even with investing money you get such limited information.
