Akiko_0219 is a very good manager and he has always done well with his team. He has been very quiet this season & I think he is just getting used to the JBBL. Look out for him to rise up and be a force next season.

And what is Wolph doing? Just days out from the playoff and his whole team is for sale. Ok the prices are totally unreasonable for most of them but it still seems strange when he has a chance to win it all.

For example Alpár Göncz is a standard guard, beyond training, soon to be 31 value going down fast with only that ok ID to seperate him from dozens of similar guards all selling for about $500k but Wolph wants $1.8 million.

I guess there is a sucker born every minute look at the way he totally ripped off some poor moron with the sale of Torquato Marchi. Capped, in terrible game shape and yet he sold him for double what he paid for him. Not good enough for the JBBL I guess he will be fine in Panama division II where there are only 4 humans in the whole league. But sold for $1.4 million, that was nearly a million $ gift to Wolph.

Wolph wanted to say the following to shoot down my smack in flames.

'You like many people have no CLUE about secondaries. You simply can't handle the numbers you look at 2 or 3 primaries and make a judgement on the value of players. You can't see holes, you can't figure TSP. You can't see the salary versus the production.
Marchi is a very rare build. Look on the TL for any center with 5+ in every single guard skill JS,JR,OD,PA,HA,DR..without a hole, then look at that JS. How many Cs have that JS? That is why he sold for that, cuz he worth it.
Goncz. Look at the salary. Look at the JR/PA...Look at IS ID. Now go on the list and find all these similar guards, they don't exist. There are about 50 guards with 10 or less JR a day. Or guards with 13 plus JR and 150k salary. Salary under 100k, PA over 12, JR over 12.. throw in ID of 9 and IS 5+...This is the kind of things you can't see but I can

My response.

I can get any random collection of stats from any good player and say go find exactly that and you wont.
Try to find a player with wondrous + OD, tremendous + HA/DR, prolific + PA and strong + SB salary under $40k. None.
Try to find a player with prodigious + JS/DR, tremendous + OD/HA and prolific + PA salary under $30k. None.
Try to find a player with tremendous + JS/OD/HA/DR/PA salary under $30k, there is 1 (listed for $2.2 million), add in at least mediocre + for all secondaries. None.

These are my 3 guards. I can't find 1 guy on the TL like any of them. Are they all worth $1,777,777 each? Not a chance.

Marchi didn't seem that rare to the 50,000 other users who didn't think he was worth more than $700,000 6 months ago when prices were much higher overall and he was younger. Perhaps you and your buyer are the only 2 that can see these magical skills that double his value. He is listed as a C but has mediocre PF skills, big deal.

Goncz. I can see his stats right now so who are you kidding? Look at that JR/PA you say. Yeah? Ok the JR is too high. The PA is really good for a SG but far from amazing. Look at the IS/ID you say. The IS is the same as an 18 year old draftee and the ID I already commented on. So which secondary am I blind to that you can see so clearly? He is good weekly value with those skills I would have thought he would be more like 100k a week at least. He has exacly 3 things that set him out from the normal $500k guys, good PA, great ID and cheap. But considering he is being sold for triple the TPE and at least double what he is really worth, saving $20k a week on salaries is not really worth an extra $1 million up front.

I always agreed that Patryk Madany is a top player and I'm surprised he hasn't been snapped up yet. Worth double Marchi or Goncz any day.

By the way I saw Alija Dutina in the bin, very good defensive player.

The clear contrast is aisteru.4ever who has just sold his 3 stars at real market value.

All 3 were bought on June 8 and sold August 2.

Otto Hint bought $780k sold $600k.
Abdelazziz Benabdellah bought $1 million sold $306k.
Miljan Aćimović 23 years superstar potential bought $875k sold $306.

3 players sold total loss nearly $1.5 million. That is what the market is doing unless you are swindling people with no idea.

Welcome back, things have been too quiet without you.

Just because a player is heading to the BBB doesn't mean he is good if he is bought by the national champion of Tounes.

I admit for every smart move I make I make 2-3 dumb ones. You will see my latest 1 in the news.

Probably Pogonyaylo is the only player on my team that you would like. He is the only guy with multiple double figure stats in both inside & outside skills.

people don't understand why I keep winning with these players unless they are also the kind to pay me proper money for them so that they can turn around and win with them.

Again we totally agree about Madany, he is special, Goncz if he sells we shall see if he turns his new team into a winner. Don't know if judging the performance of a d2 team in a 4 human league would be a fair test of Marchi.

But we can test your theory that your players make the buyers winners with Mathias Budiarso. Since RakBa paid $1.1 million for him they have gone on a massive losing streak & look to be getting relegated.

Another guy you mentioned was Marvin Pahila. You sold him to "a winner" for $1.666 million. They have gone 2/19 this season. Sure made them a winner! They actually finally gave up on him a couple of weeks ago and sold him for $510,000 quite a drop for one of your "winners" in a couple of months. He is now listed for $300,000 and no bid (he is injured) and anyone can see all he is is a poor mans PF.

Finally you said Enrico Sciamenna. Surely paying $1.666 million for him was a brilliant move right? Wrong. They sold him 1 month later for $530,000 including taxes that must be a $1.2 million $ loss in 1 player in 1 month. Another winner?

Face it, despite your claims in every case buying one of your stupidly overpriced players by probably drunk managers has been a disaster for the purchasing team.

You know you & I have a difference of opinion about JR & RE. I think they use too much potential & jack the salaries way too much. I just said in the last thread I make heaps of mistakes, well potential was something I underestimated when I started so I have been stuck trying to get the best from allstars. I wish I had known. But while everyone disagrees with me about the JR & it is me & the USA NT against the world I am willing to take the risk & see if I (we) are right.

Those stats for Goncz last season are fantastic. But abnormal. I can't find anyone like him this season, even though half the games are against bots. If we had quality stats these numbers would be even lower.

Look at the 3PT% of top SGs this season.
Lau Than Tam 28%
Tatsuya Hojo 28%
Alpár Göncz 25%
Tooro Oishi 21%
Ismael Covarrubias 18%

What I don't want is a $80,000 guard that hits 1/4 of his shots. What I want is a $40,000 guard that does everything as well as the $80,000 guard but passes the ball to players who are more efficient. My 3 big guys all hit above 55% on FGs, it is them I want to see taking shots most of the time.

Finally even with their terrible, terrible JR, my 3 guards are hitting 48%, 40% & 40% of their shots this season & Konoe actually hit 28% of his 3s with no JR, I know that is a blip too.
