Egypt, the defending champions, narrowly beat us last night 97-93: (81182)

However, this is encouraging, as the opposing coach decided to play with more enthusiasm.

Misr put more into this game than South Africa.

We had better shooting accuracy than the Egyptians, but we committed too many turnovers and fouls.

MOTM: Moyo Mosili led the team in offense with 31 points (14-23) and 7 rebounds.

The next match will be against Algeria.

We beat Algeria 113-88: (81186)

Algeria is a direct competitor for the semi-final qualification, so I decided to play it safe.
We would probably have won with the same attitude, but it's always easier to say after the match than before.
This allowed us to improve the point difference.

Thanks to our good shooting skills, we reached halftime with a 38-point lead.
All players were able to participate in the 2nd half.

MOTM: Stephen Buffery, who scored 27 points (13-20) in 24 minutes, coming off the bench.

The next opponent will be Ghana.

This result moves us up to 3rd place in the standings, with 2 games remaining in the 2nd round.

MOTM: Vadiveloo Moshoeli scored 26 points (11-20), grabbed 4 rebounds and had 1 assist in 27 minutes.

We beat Morocco again tonight, 102-94: (81190)

This is their 2nd loss of the season, both against us. That's very encouraging.
Our defense was solid, and our guards were effective from beyond the arc (8-16 on 3-pointers).

MOTM: Anuiyelewa Nthite with 31 points, 6 boards and 2 assists.

We are now 2nd in the group, thanks to a better PD than Egypt and Senegal.
The final group stage game will be next Monday against Senegal.

A comfortable 109-72 W over Senegal tonight: (81194)

MOTM: Anuiyelewa Nthite finished with 23 points (9-14), 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.

We remain in 2nd place in the group and will face Egypt in the semifinals next Friday.
It won't be easy because Egypt is one of the favorites for the title and beat us twice this season.

I'm counting on all the managers to get their players in top shape!
That could make all the difference in the semifinals, and in the finals if we get there.

Since last week, Muileki Simelaine has become the second-best rebounder of all time for the national team.
First place isn't far off. He should clinch it within the next few games.

We beat Egypt 100-90 yesterday evening: (81509)
We qualified for the final against Morocco that will take place on Monday evening.
The Moroccans are favorites, but the match promises to be close. 🤞
