Do u all think it's better to buy 3 100k +players for 100k and take the hit for it for the weeks prior and during playoffs
Which cost 1 million in total
Or spend 1 million from the beg of the season on 2 starter quality players and secure #1 seed
The market is so high for role players
Only ones I can afford are the 100k players that cost 100k or less but are decent players indeed

The situation in Great 8 is even more intense. I'm still debating if I should break my bank to go for a postseason spot

Geez. That's true, you've got five teams jostling for the 3-7 spots.

Money always trumps HCA. If you have the cash on hand to buy a title...well you can buy the team to do it.

I had 50k left in the bank at end of playoff run last season
Now I have 2 mil
I was operating on 50k loss a week
Not sustainable
I did some math
Maybe it's not worth it starting full steam ahead and get hoa

I still have the core that give me 60 pt 30 reb 10 assist a game
I am just training 3 role players and hopefully grab a few FA after all star game next season and get it a shot

Ouch.
A couple tough losses in a row.
Did not expect last night's game to be competitive. Thought I'd get crushed, but my guys kept it close until the final 20 seconds. Arg.

That's what this league is all about: a kick in the balls followed by another kick in the balls.

Which means I shouldn't be as happy about this, but now as long as I set a lineup in every remaining game this season, I'm avoiding the relegation series. Higher goals remain, of course, but moving forward is always easier when you're certain to not move back.

I guess that the first kick in the balls was Spencer getting hurt 3 minutes into my first game this week, and me losing by only 6 while his backup (who isn't terrible, but is meant to be a backup) played 45 minutes straight. Then, the second kick in the balls was when I accidentally set my lineup so my PF played the whole game in this week's game 2. I guess that was a self inflicted kick in the balls. Still hurts, though. I'm cringing already (and crossing fingers) thinking of his gameshape for next week.

Congrats on not facing the relegation series at all, although it didn't really seem likely that you would.
It is a very real possibility for the Sungrazers.
We'll have to play some strong basketball in the last five games to keep out of 6th place.

Well since you're already safe... If you let me beat you on Saturday, I'll be safe too. And as a GM your #1 priority should be the safety of longtime supporters!

Also, it's a good idea to let your key guys rest up in preparation for facing "Dudes Dudes" in the cup. (BTW, wasn't Jelme briefly a dancer at a place with a flashing neon "Dudes Dudes" sign out front?) But yeah, have your best players relax at home & send only your backups/scrubs to my arena for our game.

This Cup game is before we play, so I have no need of letting my players rest. If I have another Cup game next week, I'll think about it at that point.

And don't think you had to italicize briefly for me to catch that pun.
