Looks like you're exchanging players in a trade with an American. Good trade imo. :P

I thought about picking Laurent up in the last couple days when he was up for 400k (the douche who bought him is just flipping him - this is probably the dumbest part of this game...). Can't reliably train three solid players though, and probably need to save my cash so I can stay up in Div II.

You definitely could manage it. I trained Hadley, Stronks, and O'Dwyer up at the same time. You just have to give them all 48 min at C and backup at PF every week. If someone doesn't get the full 48 at C, just train REB that week.

You Sir are correct. It is a swap of sorts that works out best for both parties.

Three Canadian trainees for me now :) Plus a few other decent Canadian players.

Maybe we should stage an All-Canadian line up contest?

Looks like this thread is dying...

Neil Fabes (13233954) is on sale, looks like Pokey Star will get him.

Glen Richards is also on sale but at 2.5mill and injured for two weeks....

It's not dying, just not a lot of NT or potential NT players in Canada, let alone for sale.

I haven't included those guys because I don't think they will sell. TSA is down to $3 million, which is still pretty expensive.

Richards at $2.5 is too much, especially because he is injured and probably won't play for another 3 weeks at least for the NT due to game shape.

Not interested in Richards at that price, but he's stellar for superstar potential. Dude would've had to be well over $200k salary under older salary formulas.

I also can't come close to being able to afford that weekly salary.

edit: would this thread be better served in Canada main for potential U21 guys and future NT guys?

Well, there are some monster salary players in Naismith, so you probably could afford one, especially an NT player. With Gaize on my team, my past weekly merchandise was $116k which really helps out.

I do it on this board, because this is pretty much the only place you can support these big salary players. An NT player can't stay in D2 for a long period of time. Currently in Canada, only Tommy Germain is in Division 2 and I doubt he will be there next season if he doesn't promote.

Yeah I disagree - it would be better in the main forums than here in Naismith.

There are a number of Div II teams that, while they could not support a Richards or TSA, could support an up-and-coming U21 player.

I think people in the lower divisions would be interested in the discussions going on about the elite players.

Well, I'm only interested in U21 players who have the potential to play for the NT, so this is one of the most exciting teams we've had in a while. But ideally if National Team players are going to stay in Canada, they are going to have to be in Naismith.
