I hate to agree with you, The Bible has unfortunately influenced far more people than Chalie, but I would argue that Darwin's theory of Natural Selection outlined in The Origin represents the largest conscious step we Homo sapiens have taken. And thus it is important!

I am not disagreeing that Darwin's theories aren't important, but as far as his book being the most important book ever written I'd have to strongly disagree. Most religious texts would be considered by the world as far more important and having influenced far more people, and whilst Darwin's theory changed the way we think I don't know whether it is the "largest conscious step we have ever taken."

I know i have no power over this thread but rather than hijacking it is there a chance you can start another and keep this on topic.

To my original question - have you read any good hoops books that you would recommend?

Don't worry I have no intention of having a drawn out trivial debate with Naker in your thread noodles.

Sorry, cant add anything to the hoops book list. I am a book hoarder too, but my only sports books are surfing ones.

Have you got Tom Carrol's? I borrowed off a mate years ago and loved it but i've never seen a copy of it since. need to find out what it was called so i can buy it again.

And Naker i have 5 of the 10 but was hooping a few hoop heads on here might have read some they can shed some light on - i always like to try something someone recommends over something off a list.

Yeah, thats 'Surfing the World' - had a good flick through at a mates as well but don't have a copy myself. Sean Doherty 'The Moment' is a good one, a hundred pictures and the stories that go with them.

Yeah GoT is awesome. Prob the best show I'm following right now.

i've actually downloaded the book as well but just haven't had time to actually read it. Maybe I'll just let the HBO series tell the story. What a way to finish episode 5!!
