I'll try to pop in during more games into league chat. Certainly enjoy the community around here :-)
Glad to have a division where there's good discussion and people excited about their teams (even when many of us have been here quite a few years)!

Well, realism would be paradoxical in this case. In a real scenario, I would be able to control the amount of minutes my players play in the scrimmages more efficiently and effectively. Hell, its a scrimmage. Nobody would give a crap if I put some random D-leaguer in. But in BB, if I want to do that, I need scrubs to fill in, otherwise, the "coach" will keep making my players play, even if i set them to only backup.
So, while its realistic, its not realistic - because acquiring and getting rid of scrubs each week is not realistic. But it's the closest BB allows you to do to using D-leaguers. And it makes scrimmage training minutes more realistic.

Anyways... great week for two of my best players to get injured. Playing the #2, #1, #2, and #3 teams in their respective conferences. And my game against you is televised. And you're my rival. Since my merchandise is already suffering (How can I be undefeated, last 5 weeks in the cup, make it to the finals last season, own 7 out of the conference's 10 all stars, not have sold a star player this season, and still not have good merchandise?!? ...I know its not affected by all stars, but it should), I can't afford to lose that game :P

Yup, itll be interesting. But its been an interesting week. I didnt have any injuries last season, but I keep getting hit by them this month. Also, I somehow forgot to set the lineup for my scrimmage last week (and to make things worse, the game went to OT) so I lost all but one proficient game shape (strangely, the one proficient game shape on my team belongs to a player who was injured all of last week and didnt get any minutes).

Also strangely, in my last game against Oakley, that same player (a 48 minute trainee) got injured the day after he healed after only 9 minutes of play as my starting SG in the first quarter and was out for the rest of the game.

Even more strangely, my starting PG (a 48 min trainee) got injured after only 5 minutes of play in the first and was out for the rest of the game.

Exceedingly strange, my PF (who just returned from a 2 week injury) got moved to PG because of this, and fouled out after only 19 minutes of play with a rating of 5.5.

Prodigiously strange, my starting center also fouled out after 41 minutes of play.

The strangest: After 2 injuries and two foul outs, my team played half of the game with 1 lucky fan, and the last 5 minutes of the game with 2 lucky fans, but they still managed to hold off oakley.

Now I have no idea what to do with training and game shape and lineups...

Free throws maybe? :P

Hahaha, seriously!?! Yowza. That's some serious absurdity. Lucky fan!?! You have fans in Oakley's stadium!?!

So much for realism!!! :-p

Guess he was good at the 3-2 and fast breaks, too. Goodness......

Yipes Oakley, you smashed me good. I thought I had a good chance of pulling it out with TIE and a couple backups starting, but now I'm much more worried about our opening round set than I was a couple weeks ago...

I went TIE also, pretty much conceding to you and preparing for the playoffs. I was surprised. I guess I have a good homecourt advantage. ;)

You most certainly do have excellent fans. Two of them even helped my team against you :P

I saw that and couldn't even make it close then. How pathetic is that?

:) blame it on your fans.

I'm pathetic enough to have forgotten to schedule a scrimmage this week... completely screws up my training and game shape.

Good Luck Tonight Darts. I really have no business in the playoffs. Got lucky to have a game against a bot team where I could run up the score to finish out the season. Just happy to be there.
