Higher enthusiasm and HCA boost your team's performance. I've heard a few times that HCA can give a team 10-15 more points than they would've scored on the road. There's also a general consensus that having 8-9 enthusiasm and using TIE is as strong as having 5 enthusiasm and using Normal.
