a big man with average big man skills for league III. lets say IS,ID,Reb 13 and Sb maybe 8 and OD 11, JS 15 would be a PF anyway in my opinion.
the problem in most cases is that the SF doesn't have enough Rebounding. and rebounding is very important especially in outside offenses.

after all it depends on the flow, because you need him to get the ball. if your gameflow is good, and he has some good secondaries along with his JS he will do very good in motion. i don't know about R&G though.

But if he has a reasonably high JS and JR stat, does that mean he'll take 3's or not at the PF position?

Generally speaking "yes" if you use Run and Gun or motion even Princeton he will act like a stretch 4 (PF who can shoot outside) just remember that the players will take shots depending on their percentage to convert, so if someone on your team has a better matchup (outside wise), he may just defer to that other player who has a better conversion rate.

Outside shots don't necessarily have to be 3's they can just be farther away from the post. I only use motion or RNG when I know my opponent has below average perimeter defense. It would be nice to see teams experiment more on the outside build rather than sticking exclusively to the inside game. I think if you have a dominant Big (C) who can overcompensate your SF's weakness on Inside Defense then it might be worth sticking to.
