Well that true. Many of the promoting teams are buying quite a lot of expensive players etc. But hey, you don't need to feel left out, because I'm not buying the expensive players either.

Your current team is strong enough to make it to the playoff. The first thing to do really, should be to expand the arena, which is exactly what you're doing. If you know that you're not going to relegate, you could simply wait until the arena is completed (the size you want it to be), then earn a lot of income, then start buying expensive players for a real competition. In my opinion, the person who gets to complete the arena first wins than the person who has expensive players but small arena, because in the long run, the person with a complete arena will advance quicker.

i agree with tungi....
urs is a really good team(and probably the one i fear the most after diamond pheonix).....
u need to make a plan to help you out in the long run...most of the new teams are having massive rosters but have minimal knowledge of the game...u have the edge in that so u should use that to make them bite the dust...;)

You don't need expensive players to do well. Good balanced players with solid secondaries and tertiaries will perform just as well as the salary monsters who have one or two really high primary skills. Even better if you have better game shape and enthusiasm. Ecen better still if you are training them as often by the end of a season your trainee can be performing as well as a player worth double his salary.

Not only do good balanced players perform just as well as salary monsters, their salaries are cheaper, so you have more income :)
