You should look at all of his past games (not just the last 2), and see if there's a trend of being foul prone.

it might play a role, but in Centers, it shouldn't matter too much. He might simply be a very aggressive player, in which case he'll need lots of experience before becoming less foul-prone.

experienced players make less bad decisions, so in particular they'll foul less when already in foul trouble.

That said, ultra-aggressive guys have a much harder time getting experience, too...

That's interesting. In your opinion, how many fouls per game is the limit for a player, in order for that player to be useful or training-worthy etc?

Also, in general, does raising defense lower foul rate?

For a trainee, my limit is 3 fouls per 48 minutes. more, and he'll start fouling out regularly.

Raising defense does lower fouls, but only a little. Aggressiveness has much more of an influence than the level of defense, but both do play a role.

no doubt hes an aggressive player
stamina, exp & OD will help foul less
but the main problem is he is playing much stronger match up
try zone D and patient it help a bit,by lowering the # of total procession

i cant proof it but i think if youve got really agressive player raising def and SB would be the way to go ,is it just me or my team doesnt have player with less than average SB,and averaging over 12 SB a game 2 games in row over 20 sb ,im first in the league in this stat and sb per foul ratio and this is against superior opposition
