Hi Eminence,

enthusiasm works like this: On all matches (except for scrimmages and private leagues) you can choose to take it easy (TIE), play normal or Crunch Time (CT). These options are available when you set your lineup.

If you TIE a match, your enthusiasm raises by 33%, playing normal leaves it as it was and CT reduces it by 50%.

At the beginning of a season, everyone's enthusiasm is at 5.
Everytime it's not 5 (e.g. after a TIE or CT), it slowly adjusts back to 5 on a daily basis. The further it's away from 5, the bigger are the steps in which it comes back to 5. (e.g. if you have an enthusiasm of 11 after a match, it might be 9 on the day after, but if it's 7 after a match, it might only go back to 6).
The possibilities to TIE or CT are slightly different when it comes to Playoffs at the end of the season but it's still some time until then...

The same applies for values lower than 5. In these cases it increases on a daily basis until it's 5 again.

A higher enthusiasm makes your team play a lot better and it's really a good weapon if you can plan and use high enthusiasm for important matches.

how high it can go?

There are two scenarios:
A) You're still in the cup
B) You're not.

If it's A, then you have three matches per week in which you can TIE, which means that your enth. can go a lot higher. On match days it can be something around 10 without a problem, afaik.

If you're not in the cup anymore, you only have the two league games in which you can work on your enth. In that case, it can only go up until something like 8, I think.

Hope this helps!
If not, just let me know.

Cheers
Andi

he explained it very well, but....

if you are still in the cup ent. can be as high as 12 (maybe 13) when you play a game.
it can be as high as 15 (maybe 16) immediatly after finish a TIE game.

if you are not in the cup it can be as high as 10 (maybe 11) on game time, and 12(13) immediatly after a TIE game

Thanks Babar!

I wasn't sure how high exactly it could get, so I tried to focus on explaining the principle :-)
But it's good to read the correct figures again.
