One thing for Duffman however is he is much more cost effective than Smeltz. That is probably why he has those rings because Smeltz demands too much and his supporting cast is so weak

that's true, he is a cost effective player, just like Scottie Pippen was to MJ!!! hahah (I know, I contradict what I said earlier).
Though in saying that, SAS did promote out of Div III before Fat Boy's did. On a personal level I just think Smeltz has achieved a lot more than Duffman. I guess I just had so much more expectation from Duffman being an ATG and all. It comes with the territory I guess.

Datzilla has a point though.. what are personal accolades when compared to team achievements?
Duffman lead his team to 3 championships, while SAS Troopers has come close but not won any.

I guess you could say, Duffman is TD, while Smeltz could be Karl Malone. Who is better? haha

haha you can't compare Smeltz to MJ, because MJ got many rings lol. But if you are comparing players on an even level, you can only compare in PL where we're playing against the same teams.

in akuma's case, it's like comparing lbj to kobe. lol

yeh that's true, as good as LBJ is and the 2 MVPs he has won he has never tasted a Championship win and lost 2 C'ships now. Whereas Kobe has won 5 rings though he has won an MVP as well.

U dont need to to rehash smeltzs achievements versus those of duffman now do u

I think comparing championships can be very misleading. Derek Fisher also was on those teams with Kobe and has the five rings, so by your argument that makes him better than John Stockton.

That also makes Odum better than Charles Barkley or Karl Malone. It just doesn't add up.

If we are looking at who was the star on the team that would be a lot more fair but that doesn't help Kobe as much as for three of those championships Shaq was the man.

The last two championships were much more about Kobe (and the gift of a top 3 big man for nothing from Memphis) (and the injury to Perkins which won him championship number 5) where he was clearly the star of the team.

SEN is the 24 hr a day sports talkback station in Melbourne - franka and i used to host the overnight and talk HT on there all the time. It was pre BB for me so that never really got a run. I think we ended up recruiting about 120 blokes to HT that were listeners of our show


I listen to SEN in Perth occasionally, it's a good station. Are you still on the air?

Do you still play HT? What's your team name over there?

Nah i gave it away a year or two ago and franka a little while after that. My HT team went bot after i lost interest. It was Called Up THe Baggies - i was lingering in Div 4 and paying no real attention. I just found BB much more entertaining given their are more regular skill pops and i am a basketball junkie as opposed to a more casual football fan.
