U21 SGP - Season 16 : Game 4 : Singapore used big 3rd quarter to dispell Tournament Host India, won by 29 pts.

Everybody at Indian court were expecting a turnaround 4th for India, but not tonight.

Led briefly 43-38 af half, Singapore densed their outside defense to open the 2nd half, limited India to 9 points on the 3rd quarter. And it continues at 4th, Ling Feng Kong & Leng Wei Jiang still looked stingy on defending the perimeter, Lee Leong Sze & Goh Wen Shun combined for 15pts of 21pts 4th quarter points and SGP leaped India team with 89-60, surprisingly blown out the opponent in front of their home crowds.

The astonished victory were influenced by the newly hired SGP Assistant Coach, smealgocho(120262), who helped the head coach to kept the player spirit high even though they were booed by the home crowds.

Ang Kok Loong led with 16pts, although shoot only 6-17 but defended well. Goh Wen Shun were dominant with 15pts and 25boards. Lee Leong Sze has 11pts, Ismail & Weijiang each scored 10. No matter what, the whole team did well contribution on that night.

Singapore next opponent will be the South Korea on next week 30th May 2011. 8.30pm SGT.

U21 SGP - S16 - The Charge of South Korean.

It used to be easy game, but not this season.

The Hanguk are boast their collection of mammoth players this season. Chang-Kyum Park and 20yo Seok-Ki Kim are simply marvelous for any bigman standards. Their two narrow wins 85-83 from Macau and 98-94 from India, showed that they are a resilient team as well.

The Singapore will require to win this game in order to confirm a slot for the second round of S16 Asian Tournament. On the paper, none of their bigmans could match the Korean powerfully build bigmans. SGP Lin Chuan Loong could be activated to slow down the Hanguk giants. Lin, stand at 7'3", should be able to withstand some strong opponents because of his good D, but as he is still 19 and learning, Foul calls is going to be owned a lot as well. Will Singapore able to survive the Hanguk breakthru?

2/3 means opponent PG will be like those "urban cats" without the "patrolling bulldogs".
Those 'Korean Towers' are really strong. I maybe only can pray my bigmans won't fouling out soon.. -.-

Malaysia will face China and Hongkong next. Hope you can keep the damage as few as possible, then form up full strength to fight your way past Kazakhstan. Good luck on your game, man.
