Well not much movement this week despite some dramatic games. The game of the week in the West was Wazza Kennerly vs the Chelsea Seagulls where Wassa's 59 points was just 3 short of being enough for a win. Slam ! and their $350,000 big man pulled an upset over the Goldfish who missed their last 5 3 point shots in a row to leave themselves gasping for air. The Knights were surprisingly effective vs Monkey Business considering how well MB had gone the previous week against the Pancakes.

In the East Eggplantpopolopolous pulled a monster upset over the Titans who were without their best player Udi. SASTROOPERS showed their class by downing the surprisingly good Possum Chasers. But the game of the round had the team many predicted taking home the wooden spoon, the Persepolis Immortals defeating the much more highly respected js all-stars by 1 point. An instant classic!

With the only movement being the Guppies taking two points off the Sharks but still being 10 behind despite holding 3rd and 4th places on the west ladder Kevin now has a solid hold on second spot and is looking at the Calamari and hoping they will soon be battered.

In week 7 we mostly saw the same trends that we have seen in the previous weeks. Kevin and the Guppies continue to dominate the top of the Western table through the dominance of Pancakes, the ability of the Knights to continually win the close ones and the top tier depts of the rosters for Zazz and Monkey Biz. In the East it is all the Calamari who are still holding all three top spots although SASTROOPERS have a solid shot at taking one of them now only behind the Titans on PD and the surprising Immortals also can move up, it they have a little divine intervention.

The match of the round was the Kynlala Knights just getting home over Da Fat Boy Slim by 2 points in an incredible game that saw outstanding performances by Duff Duff, Bikin, McArthus and Dell'Asta. Awesome game. The other notable match was involving former laughing stock Possum Pete now a coach who commands respect, who men admire and the ladies desire. The Possum Chasers took on amos rogues and the rogues continued their miserable season where everything seems to go wrong for the captain of the Guppies.

The flop of the round was Naker Virus taking on Slam !, sick of playing with five players Naker has decided to experiment with playing just four, then just three. However at one stage a lucky fan was his most effective scorer and the efforts of the lucky fan kept the game close until yet another infection left the match.

Only four weeks to go and there are still possibilities for movement, some teams have a very tough run home and other teams will load up for the playoffs. Good luck everyone!

Week 8 saw little change in the ladders although there was a massive amount of news. At least four teams have gone into full time tank mode with a couple more to follow. There are a few teams that have done the opposite including all the teams in Division II.2 aka the Guppy league where fellow Guppies Zazzocalypse, Monkey Business and Chumunga all look to be fighting it out for a chance to go to the ABBL.

Likewise in the East the jw all-stars and Persepolis Immortals look set to have a finals series and Hobos, amos rogues, Possum Chasers and Beasts Red all look like they have a shot at winning their leagues.

The most surprising trend has been the continued slide of the Sharks who look like they are tanking for draft picks, except there looks like there will be no draft. However when you look carefully at the restructuring their teams are going through there is little doubt that they all will be much stronger in the future as a result.

There were some slaughters this week with the tanking Maggots going down by 59 to help the Knights percentage after back to back very close games. Some of the Pancakes players apparently got on the wrong team bus and missed the big match with fellow Kevin team Slam ! giving up a huge 40 point win. Naker usually tries 5 players, last week he tried 4 so this week to contine the trend he tried 3 and was drowned by the Goldfish. Finally Home Axis who are also in the tank were abused by Beasts Red for a 32 point loss.

The big three for the Calamari are still holding onto the top three spots in the East but with the Titans still recovering from injury issues the SASTROOPERS are looking to make a move at the right time of the season.

Three games to go. Things are crazy right now with teams transforming themselves before our eyes. Anything could happen. Don't miss the last three exciting weeks of the Fishbowl Season Three.

What an amazing week it was. This is the week everyone (who isn't a Calamari) has been waiting for. The much hated and feared Calamari who despite not having even one of the top half a dozen teams in the league had somehow hung onto the top spot the entire season, but finally reality has come home and the much, much, much, much, much stronger other teams such as Kevin are feeding on their corpse.

Kevin's best improver Slam ! has only managed to win two games for the entire season yet seems to have the incredible ability to destroy his ABBL standard team mates every time they meet, perhaps it is his internal federation spying that gives him the edge? Likewise the much maligned Xerxes continues to surprise this time completing his jihad against zyler the captain of the Guppies.

For the Guppies Zazzocalypse and Monkey Business continue to show they they are clearly in the top four in the league as there is now a massive gap between the top four and the rest. Even more exciting for the Guppies the Rampaging Marmots get their first win and move off the bottom of the ladder at the expense of the rebuilding Maggots.

One game that could have been the upset of the season (besides any game involving Slam !) was Pancakes with Jam and Cream vs. Melbourne Goldfish where the Goldfish actually led in the 3rd quarter before completly colapsing in the 4th. Perhaps a bit more fitness is needed by the fishys.

In the East probably the biggest news is the SASTROOPERS charging forward to 2nd spot on the ladder, a spot they look very likely to hold onto. But with also jw all-stars demolishing the Beasts the Sharks are on the rise.

Two weeks to go. Can Kevin hold onto the top spot? Will the Sharks continue their rise and pass the free falling Calamari? Can the Guppies tail make some sort of a wag? We shall soon see.
