I didn't make that much profit. That trainee cost me 1.8 mil at the first place

In my whole BB career, I've only made $4.4Million total. You just made more than half of that on one player! And I see you've got a profit of $14+ Million. What's the secret? I'd like to learn how to make money like that!

uhhh, I trade frequently so a lot of the figures eventually contributed to tax. and like i said, i only made about 800K profits, and I also have to pay a lot for high level trainers and the ticket revenue I sacrificed, while I trained less competitive players

So, frequency? I've tried in the past to sell Burt and Byers - both HOF potential at 18-21years single positioned trained with exceptional trainer - but no takers. They're older now so I'm sure I could only get $100K combined for them now.

Maybe I'm overtraining them? Maybe having a low salary is more valuable than having a developed skill set?

I'm not saying frequency is the key. I'm sure everyone has his style. I'm just saying that I'm not making as much money on paper, with the high cost and risks I've been paying for.

I don't think my strategy is that effective; you can tell by the fact that I spent way too many seasons to make it to Division II.

I can't really evaluate your players without knowing their skill sets either.

I tend to buy @300k and sell around 1m
I keep the guys I maxed out like ad, wc, Ron Bc I rarely see the unique combo of skills I personally trained on the mkt
Or they simply just cost too much
But at the end of the day
U need to train and sell some players for the capital
Esp when u r contending and have marginal weekly income

no offense, that calibre small forward in our league on sale right now is way over-priced

I think I plan my budget pretty well, but sometimes I am "forced" to over-pay a player that I reall like, someone I believe will work well in my system. Plus my fetish of building all-american team (maybe allowing 1-2 foreign reinforcement sometimes) has been wasting a lot of my money too lol

I'm not sure I agree with that statement. Having an American roster earns merchandise. Which somewhat makes up for the higher price you pay for selection.

Also I did a quick study of your team. It is probably worth 7 million still. Which is what I value my team at. Even with selling a 2.5 million player.

But I do agree with you on your other point. You have to generate massive profits for your strategy in order to advance divisions. This is because you have so much money tied up in players.

Alternatively my money is stored in my arena and homegrown trainees. Where extra cash generated beyond the arena was stored in 33+ cheapo roster. The trouble I have is now I have to sit and wait for more cash whereas most of my money is now tied up in 4 homegrown trainees that would be stupid of me to sell. Even if I sell any 33+ guys I won't get anything for them...$350,000 for a player is chump change in this league.

Well, anyway, congrats on your sale. I wish I could generate some extra money. But neither Burt or Byers are really worth selling.

If I were in your shoes MM I would keep both of those guys and keep training them. As they are homegrown, they can earn you more merchandise. With unlimited potential you can keep training them well into 120K range.
