This league is not as bad as u think. I got here last season and I had 1/2 of roster injured through last season and still managed a 3rd seed

And I didn't make a roster move from D3 but somehow ended up 4th, so no reason for the new Great 8 teams to panic just yet (Big 8 is tougher though).
I've lost a lot of interest in the game lately. Spent last season loading up on cash and watching the TL but never felt like making any moves. About to dump some salaries below the salary floor and float though this season at the very bottom, hoping to maybe spark my interest again with some new trainees after next season's draft. Come back in a few seasons maybe with more USA guys and a new strategy.

I'm not sure which is better Big/Great. To be honest this may be the most balanced league I have ever been in. There are powerhouses in both conferences. But no one overpowering like the River Dogs from last season.

If we look at roster carrying costs, there is a slight advantage on the Great 8 but not much. Personally I think the Great 8 will be the tougher division mostly because teams will be adding to their roster that promoted (myself included) with the added money from moving up divisions.

I'm not sure the other 3 divisions have such a tough/balanced league that II.4 is famous for. I was personally disappointed to be dropped in here especially when I saw Silverbacks also! I will have to figure out what I want to do...I could build up cash but at the meantime I would like to make sure I stay out of relagation. My guess is this will be a tough go. Especially since nearly everyone here has a superior arena to support their economy.

That's probably true. I was thinking about competing again, but I pretty much broke the bank on a failed playoff run last season. Idk if we will have a rush to the #1 pick like the Kelts/Visionaries run last year, but I might be around there.

Pay no attention to my high salary player... He's just there to keep me close to the salary floor (and because I'm training to help the NT)

Yep, pay no attention to me either. I'm trotting around in mediocrity while figuring out what the hell I want to do.

You're probably right. I was going off of last season where I was able to make the playoffs with a D3 team and Great 8 lost both relegation series.

So we got TTS volunteering for 8th, Isaiah for 7th, do we have a taker for 6th?

I'm going to set a record for skill drops this season, so it'll probably be me. Plus the fact that I haven't really cared about BB in many seasons. Save for knocking out this team on behalf of everyone:

Wonder what were the odds of that matchup ever taking place were? Guess it was destiny. RIP buying rookie 6th man scrubs & magically selling them 2 weeks later for $500k!

nearly everyone here has a superior arena to support their economy.

You have an almost 20k seat arena? That's already way more than enough for D2. Really 12k seats should be more than adequate. I'd quote myself from elsewhere (my last true joy of BB), but the site's too slow ATM.

Hey shikago I have read your strategy before...

I did enough math on it to realize that building arena early outweighs everything else especially when playing against bots. Since Div 5 I've always had one of the largest arena. Last season it helped me support an economy where I could muster enough firepower to win on the road in the playoffs. So I didn't have to wait another season to promote.

But in this Division I will not have that leverage. It will take longer to promote if I ever do. Especially against what looks to be stiff competition. Will be fun though. Div III was much to predictable. I'm glad to be here.

In Utopia I am going to worry less about the arena, but I still will prioritize it over trying to win a league. I just want to be in the running to advance up ranks. Oh and I LOVE old players...not 40 of them though LOL.
