again only 4 teams here r "new" < 10 seasons & big props 2 3/4 of them 4 their great work

i know u keep on saying the goldfish r an old team but as u see were about average just been above average successful, 2nd youngest team ever in the abbl after Slam ! (big props)

It's not that your a old team, it's that you teams a Abbl rebounder in a new breed table.

As I said before, just need a separate table with a different name. Eg The Old Slugs? Tranny Granies? Hotchie Mummas? Lol

Clarification of "New Breed"

After searching those teams currently listed as New Breeders (20 teams) only 10 it seems are true breeders. Given that the premise of this thread was to showcase the cream of Aussie teams rising to the top---keeping an eye on their progress while learning a bit about them---it seems counter-productive to include "old" breeders. However, in the spirit of this season's thread we will make an exception for this season. Although, next season's thread will only admit teams under the following criteria:

Teams must be entering a Division II league for the first time in their history to qualify as a New Breeder.

Where to from here?

When Season 21 is officially completed (including playoffs), I will post a poll for managers to vote on which team deserves the inaugural New Breeders Trophy.

You may have noticed in the change of name from Urmummas a Breeder Trophy. After a little reasearch it turns out that while the Urmummas have done an excellent job getting to the ABBL, their rise is not the benchmark. Sorry, Urmumma, but I need to clarify the Breeders now in preparation for future seasons.

It was interesting to go through the current ABBL teams, most of whom have been there for some time, and discover their route to Australia's highest Division. Three teams: Monkey Business, Whitebeard and Koopasaurus are the only three teams in Australia to start in Div IV and climb to the ABBL without ever taking a step backwards and remain there. Impressive and all three deserve to have the trophy named after them. But then again, other ABBL teams who have always been in the ABBL could be labelled impressive. Therefore, The New Breeders Trophy will do.

So, I apologise for this long-winded post but given that I want to keep this thread going in future seasons I thought it necessary to clarify things now.

So, Fishy & Co can all piss off now! :-P jks

You are an excellent manager, Urmumma, but the three mentioned didn't 'take a step backwards' on their journey from IV to ABBL.

Very impressive but you went backwards to go forwards. The three mentioned didn't. Of course, you went bounce-bounce-bounce which is unequalled to my knowledge.
