I would be curious to know how much beer/alcohol people in other countries generally consume.

The wiki articles at least give an idea:

Interesting...

In our country we consume generously I prefer Amstel, but our beer is pretty good also, you guys probably never heard of ours anyway

in fact no, it isn't cheaper than Amstel.

Amstel is one of the cheapest we have here and you can find it anywhere.

We produced better than Mythos or Amstel though.

FIX is the best lager http://www.fix-beer.gr/en/index_inside.html
and KAISER the best pils http://www.kaiserbeer.gr/.

I really think Mythos is not so good, but it's the more advertised, plus the catchy name

Good thing is that in the later years there are many micro-breweries with really nice results. Craft is the best of them http://www.craft.gr/

;)

thanks for links, they're very interesting ;)

I chose IPA, I love the extra dry hoppi-ness. There are two excellent Micro brew IPA's in California, one is Anderson Valley Hop Ottin and the other is Stone IPA. Top notch. I also love love a good Scotch Ale and Belgian White too. Hoegaarden, yum!

All beer is good

they do have good beer in Brittany (and great cider).

No kidding. Buckwheat pancakes and cider. That's just good stuff.
