So we have 4 must saves and 15 others that we could save. This is where Hof comes in. I think you should check them all, add their stats to our database and then save 16 of the 19. Add in the draft and there will be a heap of slightly useful Indian players floating around. Even better will be the week after when we will be able to save the draft picks of the botted teams.

It isn't hard to get players onto your team. Looking at he quality we have this year. You could probably pick up a 4k 19 year old, two position train him with a level 4 trainer and still make the team at age 21. ANY 18 year old that got single position trained and has at least allstar potential would make it. Lets do it India!

Since I cannot add or get rid of players etc from the U-21 NT, I'll be contacting bunch of managers and giving some tips in training and so on.

P.S
I've sent an email to 9 managers telling them to find at least 1 indian player to train, especially from this season's draft etc etc. I've also told them to send their trainees' skills so that I can give them an advice on how to proceed. Hopefully I'll be getting some response...
And those active teams in div III. I've contacted them as well.

Brilliant work. It is a long process but I hope we are taking the baby steps towards reviving both the U21 team and maybe the whole community. Pakistan beat us last time, do we want to let that happen again?

India beat Pakistan in Cricket World Cup recently. Now we have to beat them in Basketball as well!!!

For the upcoming draft, we can tweak the advertisement message that appears on the player page for young Indians.

It currently says:

India National Team Advertisement
If your player recive this msg, than he has a chang to be a part of the u21 national team of India. Send mail to (117813) If you want help how to train your player and to make sure I know about him :)

Maybe it could link to the Indian forums, or to the training guide. What are the current requirements for the message to appear, is there an option to make it target all Indian players?

Good ideas. You could have maybe three links. One to the coach. One to the training guide part of the Help/FAQ. One to these forums. I don't think the message should target all Indian players only decent ones but have something in there that will make them feel proud and excited.

I'm a touch concerned here because, as it stands, the inactive teams will not go bot before the promotion. That means that League 1 (or IPL, which sounds good) will still have a number of bot teams next year.

Well from div II.1, 2 and 3, it is likely that the active managers will promote. The promoting team from div II.4 will definitely be a bot...
At least there will be less bot teams in div I next season.

I think the way promotion works is this. (95% sure).

Each team that wins their division is promoted to the division above.
Each team that came 8th is demoted to a random division below.
Each team that lost a relegation series is demoted.

Then bot cleanup takes place. Each bot team is dropped to the lowest level in the nation. This could include a bot team that just won their division and was promoted literally seconds ago. This creates more gaps. For each gap the computer then looks for the best team in the level below that has the best regular season record but didn't win the championship. That team is promoted.

So looking at the actual situation.

ILP

The Big 8 has
3rd place kings of bb inactive since 27/3 they will survive.
7th Purple Budhis bot lost relegation series.
8th amuliu bot automatically relegated.

The Great 8 has
3rd place hellkiller s 5 inactive since 27/3 they will survive. Nice symmetry.
7th AHMEDABAD XX bot lost relegation series.
8th Alien team bot automatically relegated.

So that means kings of bb and hellkiller s 5 will remain.

The teams promoting look to be:

II.1 The Cows or Mumbai Lakers.
II.2 Le Grand Cox
II.3 DECCEN CHARGERS - a new team how lucky, they have been logging in but haven't done much, someone should contact them. By the way great name for an IPL team - I hope they have a Kevin Pietersen.
II.4 anukuku - this is a bot team, so I think they will be promoted and then demoted so one extra team should get to go to the ILP, whoever has the best record and didn't win.

Best records: (The team with the best record that doesn't win a championship will also be promoted)
The_cows 22-0
Le Grand Cox 21-1
plateaus 20 -2 +705
Mumbai Lakers 20-2 +512

So if I was the plateaus I would be hoping for both The_cows and Le Grand Cox to win and then you *should* be promoted as well.

Actually change that, I think conference winners who didn't win the championship are promoted first so that would put the loser of The Cows or Mumbai Lakers next in line.

I now think this is the actual tie breaker order.

1) Regular season finish (1 to 8)
2) Regular season wins.
3) Point differential.
4) Points scored.

I don't promise that this is gospel but I think it is how it works. I will be interested to se if I am correct.

If you look at Div II.1, the Mumbai Indians have not logged in since 26/3. Div II.3 is a new signup whose name is 1234 which doesn't sound too promising. These two teams may promote, if they win the playoffs, and then go bot well after the cleanup. The two teams that are guaranteed to advance are The Cows and Le Grand Cox. Deccen Chargers will only promote if they win the playoffs, which seems likely. Mumbai Indians will promote either if they win the playoffs or if Deccen Chargers lose. If either team loses the playoffs, the plateaus advance.
