Nice post. I will be watching closely and hoping our boys can represent. Being in the Championships for the first time is damn impressive. Not only does it mean Canada has had two plus seasons of really solid players, but the manager has done a great job on the tactics.

GO CANADA GO!!

To watch the games, go to the U21 National Team page, and click on games to bring up the schedule. From there, you can look at past box scores, watch replays, or view the live games in progress (if you would like to do so). The game tomorrow against Nigeria starts at 10:30 AM EST, which might be a bit of an inconvenient time (myself, I won't be able to watch live U21 games much this season, due to the time slot).

After a string of losses to Deutschland, Latvija, China, and Lieutva, our first appearance at the World Championships has come to and end. After the loss today, we have been eliminated, and won't be moving on to the next round. I feel like the Deutschland game was the one we really needed to win (in order to advance), and after losing that game, we weren't able to steal a win anywhere else to make up for it.

The rest of the season, the U21 will be playing scrimmages. Next season, it will be back to the Americas Championships, and another qualifying campaign for Worlds. Hopefully we can make it back to worlds for season 15, and do better the next time.

I'm sad to see you guys go, I was looking forward to another game with our friends to the North. Your teams were really good this season and last season. Keep up the good work here. =D
