Holy Crap... My cup run just got real... I was hoping for a couple more Div IV teams before getting thrown in the cage with an NBBA team.

apropos of nothing:

no better way to kill time before a game than read Hrudey's exchanges with Mr. Glass.

". . . He says his name's William but I'm sure
He's Bill or Billy or Mac or Buddy
And he's plain ugly to me
And I wonder if he's ever had a day of fun in his whole life"

I'd be remiss not to ask you:
Were you drinking beer at noon on Tuesday? In the bar that faces the giant car wash?

So, yeah, that Sheryl Crow riff cleared the room.

I'm still in the Cup. I don't get it. I'm not complaining though.

Everyone probably drove their shiny Datsuns and Buicks back to the phone company. The record store too.

Nice going. You're the last remaining team in the Big 8 too.
Haven't been paying much attention to the league lately. But am kind of surprised that the McFlabbies, playing at home & using extra effort, only beat me by 3 points. So that might bode well for you if you make the finals?

Anyway, it seems like almost all the BB forums have completely died, not just this one. Noticed that a lot of people I know on BB are dropping supporter too. I'm barely even logging in once between games myself sometimes. (for example just saw saturday's results a few minutes ago & it's tues. morning.)

Hi guys. Hope you don't mind an old-timer dropping in. You're spot on w/r to the lack of "action" on the forums. My league forum is totally asleep, if it ever was alive:-) I'm not at all sure what we can do to get anything going on in BB. Really kind of sad...

I've been swamped personally the last few weeks. I've messed up at least one lineup in the league this season, maybe twice, and I think I might have missed one or two in Utopia also. That and just having the overwhelming inclination that this is just not going to be my season - losing Thayer to injury twice, including the second time early in the first against Silverbacks which helped lose that game. But I've had nice luck with the cup so that's good.

Yeah, this forum was by far the most active of any league I had ever been in. It was clear that there is a lot of history here and some key rivalries that have developed over the seasons. Perhaps the notorious All Star Lull kicked in and extended the apathy towards our forum. That, along with the Sheryl Crow lyrics, may have presented a fairly insurmountable obstacle to maintaining any momentum that may have been developing.

Seems we need a topic for discussion. Here's one:

Have the San Francisco Warriors cracked the code on transfer listing players by using a very memorable and pleasing to the eye pricing scheme? 'Round up to the nearest repeating number' seems to be a highly effective selling strategy.

I might have to try that selling strategy. How about this topic: How to make Buzzerbeater more fun so people want to join/stay. Here's my suggestions, Loosen up the damn purse strings a little. This game charges you outrageous prices for everything from draft points to trainers and pr guys making big bucks. Nice new draft features: If you want to pay big bucks to use them. How about kicking in a few bucks for scrimmages to help encourage training.
How about more control over training. Its ridiculous having to play guys out of their natural positions in games in order to train certain skills. You don't see Kobe Bryant playing center just so he can work on his inside game. There should be lots more training options.
This game has turned into a one trick pony, namely Look inside tactics. Please fix the 2/3 and come up with a 1-3-1 equivalent for the run and gun teams to use against inside tactics.
