catta, was thinking big dewey only got the 2 votes but dropped in 46pts at 50% 6 boards a few assists zero turnovers, i thought stiff not to get 3 votes. thoughts?

Hey Whompa,
I've never seen you post before! Welcome :)

Just took a look at your game.
I think Cacho really should have been first as he was the top scorer for the winning team and also got the most rebounds.
I think Bowers at second is fair because even though he was by far the best player on either team (shooting 46 points in 39 minutes is amazing, and add the 6 rebounds and 3 assists and no turnovers and he is bloody fantastic), the reason I wouldn't put him first is because he wasn't on the winning team, and as many of you know, I strongly favour the winning team when deciding MVPs. But perhaps C-cat will disagree :P

Goodluck in your appeal :)

Just for arguments sake, the winning team doesn't always get the MVP.

Last year, win or lose, Kobe had a strong case to win the Finals MVP, cause he was just amazing throughout the series (except the last game).

Just sayin' =)

hey yeah first post, i understand the winning team could be favoured but when it is only by the last score in the match and did swing the game by himself in the last 5 mins.

I think in a game that close the 3 votes could go either way in my book. It's like the brownlow in the - the 3 votes should go to the best player on the ground not the best player on the winning team.

We agree. We think it is pathetic that a lesser performance is rewarded because he was on the winning team when the match was decided by just one basket unless he was the one that was responsible for the last minute heroics. If the game was not close then that is a different matter.

i'll leave it to C-Cat

and my reasoning is TT didnt just hit the winning shot and do nothing else. he also had 26 points and 19 rebounds. he didnt get it soley on the buzzerbeater

Yeah the threes by dewey were impressive that match, but I will say that the guy defending him was rubbish.
