this is just my own opinion

i think for $10,000 to $40,000 salary players the market works like this.

seller's market begins at the 2nd or 3rd week of the season and ends at 2nd to the 4th week after the all star break. - give or take a week. - i think that is the best time to sell players.

it begins at the 2nd or 3rd week because i think more people are looking for 18 year rookies than veterans.

after that we go into a buyer's market. - where you can pick up players or staff at good prices.

it's at its peak after the trade dead line. which makes sense because alot of people know where they are going to finish in there league and want to dump players and staff to increase profits.

i think high salary players have a smaller market and it works different

that's my 2 cents - so take it for what's it is worth.

How else can I screw up my season? I'm playing a default lineup tonight, unintentionally breaking a TIE deal and not having the GDP set or any defensive switches in (unless I still have the SG/SF swap in the default). I suppose it's getting close to selling off time if this keeps up.

Well, you pulled off a victory, so other than your TIE deal being broken and training minutes perhaps being messed up, all is not lost.

In other news, is the attendance boost over already for us promoted teams? I understand that the Snowbirds aren't a big fan draw, but I thought the boost would last at least until the all-star break.

wow, your attendance fell off a cliff. Then again, those prices are pretty high. ($18 bleachers?) Did you change prices recently?

Oh, since you do the recaps normally, just curious... what player made the most 3 point shots on Saturday?
My guy made 4 despite getting CT'd while TIEing. So that's kind of good. Should be its own special category on the next recap if you ask me! (or even if you don't ask me!) Not sure why GS didn't CT their cup game instead. (if they were intent on CTing a game that is)

Play a lineup of Holman, Taylor, Druff, plus 2 lucky fans against me on 9/13/2014! (Activate no other players).

That will make you feel better about breaking the TIE deal too. Tell you what... I'll give you a coupon for a Whopper Jr. if it doesn't. Can't beat that!

I did raise them since I was selling out every game in the bleachers and lower tier. Perhaps that combined with playing a bot team crushed me a bit. Hopefully I get a solid bounce back in my next home game.

I can throw the recap up here in a second.

Yup! Your guy got the most 3's. Tied with a player from Rik Smit's Clogs.

Meanwhile I would love to see him competing in any other league but the one I'm in.

Yes, please let him try out his skills in another league!
(I say that knowing full well that I kept another tough big man in this league a few weeks ago when I signed Damdin)

yeah its sad to see him go
i trained him and became pretty good anchor down low
but i figured if i am not competing this season
i can save another 110K * 6 weeks
so that would give me 2MIL to find someone replaceable next season

Sorry, I'm a little late to this and a little confused. A buyer's market is typically when everyone (else) is selling and a seller's market is when everyone (else) is buying. Are you saying it's smart to buy in the first half of the season and sell during the second half?

I've always been under the impression that it's best to sell just before the transfer deadline and buy just after. This has changed a bit (moved forward a week or so) because of the GS-transfer changes. I'm not saying you're wrong, just trying to understand your ideas better to up my game.
