III.10In III.10 we have the West Indies up top with a 19-1 record. The Windies aren't a very strong team so it is a surprise to see them up top of a div III. However they are so lets have a closer look. They don't have any really huge players, that being said they do have a 45k C, 26k SF and another 32k SF who i assume plays at SG. To go along with them it appears the West Indies are training a young PG in Thad Hadley, a 21 y/o 18k HOF. We have to assume that Thad has the good part of 3/4 of a season training and would reflect a player much better than his salary suggests. The thing i am mostly impressed with this side is they seem to take great care in keeping their players gameshape at its best, probably a key reason why they are 19-1.
To look at their biggest contenders, it is a bit of a strange bunch of teams. Firstly we have the Meteors on 18-2, who have vast div II experience and even a 1 season stint in the ABBL. they have an 81k guard and a 56k guard and that is about it in terms of up to standard starters, with what we have seen from other div III's. GS on the main is alrite, but not quite on par with the great GS of the Windies.
The Wizards Warriors (15-5) are the biggest challenge to the Windies in their conference with a couple 50k players, however GS is a little worrying and i can't see them giving the Windies any trouble without HCA.
Lastly we have The Dogg Pound on 15-5, but they appear to be no more than a mid-table div III side and wont trouble the winner.
The West Indies should have HCA in all its matches, and if they can keep their awesome GS they are a red hot chance at winning this division.
III.11This division has been dominated by Urmummas with a 20-0 record. Where do i start? at Sun Cunming
(9471882) or Ky Smeltz
(10071569). This is a powerhouse team. If they play LI they should not be beaten plain and simple.
The challengers will be Flaming Ramzays who have prior U21 player Brodey Haddock, along with 2 x 40k guards. I don't really know why they hold onto that 80k extra salary each week because it is unlikely they will be able to challenge Urmummas, unless they have cashed saved up, enough to bring in 2x 100k bigs.
We also have the Johnterbury Bulldogs who are in a similar position to the Ramzays, they have a reasonable side but without great bigs they will get torn apart inside by the league leaders.
Lastly we have AzzAZ SwiNaDaDz who have a whole heap of 20k players but no-one who is going to trouble Urmummas.
Hard to see Urmummas being beaten unless some big purchases are made in the next week.
III.12 This division is the key to everything. Hippos beat Vis Maior and we know who will be promoted by the bot cleanup. Vis Maior win and it is open slather!
As much as i like Hippo, if it comes down to a PO match deciding who goes up, they will need their main man Diakite to be in rare form. Presley will also prove vital if the Hippos are going to win without HCA.
Meanwhile Vis Maior 3x 50k'ers and a host of backup 20k players. It appears that on paper Vis Maior might be just stronger, however the Hippos do have a considerable amount of depth over their opponents.
The red side is pretty much irrelevant in this division as although Be High and Zed's Army have good sides on paper, they never seem to be able to trouble the power of the blue side. ACT Blaze being the last red team to escape III.12
This division hangs in the balance on tomorrow nights game and what Vis Maior decide to do. If they tank the Hippos go up via bot promotion and can step aside for Vis, however it is dangerous as the Hippos could decide they have nothing to lose once securing the bot promotion and try to sneak the trophy for their cabinet aswell.
Interesting times, and i dare not assume what they will do.
