Yes you do. So be careful. I only see one good player in all of the draft so enjoy him and leave me the crumbs.

Training Report

Since I made the Season 15 call ups 6 weeks ago I have been closely tracking the training progress of each of the players. I'd like to share with everyone the progress we've seen.

Player - Owner - Pops
Norio Funaki - Yokozuna Gaijin - 6
Naoya Ueda - Hong Kong Knight - 6
Usami Matsumura - Tokyo Thunders - 4
Sohichiro Usami - BC Seminari - 4
Hirofumi Sonoda - Yo-Ka - 3
Shinya Umari - Tokyo Thunders - 3
Masaki Omori - Zenigata gangs - 3
Atsuya Hattori - Kuzu High School - 3
Mitsuru Sayuki - Fumoffu Platoon - 3
Fumiya Okumura - Losangeles Laker$ - 2
Haru Sato    - Fumoffu Platoon - 2
Shuichi Taguchi - Yo-Ka - 1 (2 Weeks)
Kojiro Hashimoto - Kuzu High School - 1
Ryo Nagumo - Bydzia Dream Team - -
Eiji Fujiwara - Swoosh - -

We have seen some good progress with most of the players and I'd like to thank all the U21 managers for these results.

In preperation for the upcoming season I will be releasing a couple players who have not been performing well enough to contribute to the team and who's development progress does not make it likely that they will contribute in the future. This will give us a few more open roster spots, and will allow us to call up additional players during the season without having to release players midseason. Releasing players midseason causes national teams to take a hit to the team's enthusiasm.

I hope those owners impacted will understand and I encourage them to try to participate in U21 with other players in the future.

ありがとございました、
Coach Taiyo.

I have poured through all the data and here is the list of top prospects I have found. Some of these players may be somewhat boarderline for National Team potential. However, the way I look at it is that of these 27 players 12 of them will be on the National team in 2 seasons, so this is what we have to work with.

A couple players are already on the Transfer List, they are marked with "TL" next to them.

Hopefully we can get some good momentum towards training these players so we can have the talent to be more competitive in U21.

Agree, definately a dissapoinment. A few 18yo Superstars with mid $4K salary. That's the best we got. One of them is on TL now and doesn't look so promising.

Still waiting on a schedule, not sure why that takes so long. but, our first game of Season 15 should be this coming Monday.

One thing I've learned so far is that the first big factor in the success of the team is the quality of talent you have. If you are significantly out matched by your opponent you are facing a big challenge. That's why the number one focus from me is getting people interested in developing the talent we have.

We are starting from a big dissadvantage due to our size. Hopefully all the efforts people have been making to attract more teams will eventually pay offf.

The second thing is maintaining gameshape.

Those two things are out of my control. All I can do is incourage people to make their players as strong as possible.

After that its all on me. Choosing the right line-up and tactics to attack the weaknesses of our opponent and defend against their strengths.

Anyone have any interest in creating new banners for the U21 National team? We probably have the least interesting banners of any National team around.

As if we didn't already have talent issues on this team, now the best player on the team looks to be lost for the season.

Hirofumi Sonoda now has a Game Shape of Inept. He has played 48 minutes in every on eo f his teams games this season. His manager has been AWOL since 1/18.

In our last game against Moldova I had to push him down to 3rd string. We ended up losing the game by 5. We probably would have won if we had him at full strength.

We are already at a big dissadvantage against our opponenets but when we lose key pieces like this it becomes almost impossible.

At least we have some active managers developing some young talent for us. Hopefullly this will turn around in the next couple seasons.
