Thanks! Happy to see my questions are becoming slightly less obvious :)

21) Buying oldies - quality or quantity? Do I want to spend a 100k fee + 20k weekly salary for some old geezer who'll help me prevent relegation? Or should I rather accompany potential trainees with 4-5 cheaper dudes, while firing my original players in the process?

Edit: somebody just told me that the 50k beginner bonus only comes in as long as you don't trade at all. Is he correct?!

Nope you get 50k for 4 weeks, no matter what.

I don't think you can relegate, leagues 4 are probably bots.

Where can I confirm this? Kinda crucial before deciding whether to buy oldies, or just trainees!

The teams that finished in eighth place in both conferences last season are still in your league, so you're not able to demote.

He can't confirm it per se, but it's simple math. Your country has 203 active teams. There are 336 available spots in the 21 groups of divisions one through three. Since the promotion/relegation system always tries to push bot teams towards the bottom of the league pyramid, I doubt that any active team in your country will be relegated to division four from division three.

Thanks guys! I'm going all arena+youth in that case, let's try to find 1-2 inexpensive trainees :)

Back on topic, since you have previous experience from similar games, you may be patient enough for the following strategy?

It's about using the salary floor-free period. As a new team, you don't have to pay the salary floor in the first 16 weeks. It is very good, economically, to simply wait for that time, and only expand your arena. You are unlikely to promote anyway, since there are older, more advanced teams in your league.

How big are your TV contract and salary floor?

My TV contract is $ 78 962, and right now I'm paying my 10 happy losers $ 27 822 total.
Am I guessing correctly that this strategy involves firing everybody and just earning money?

22) How long will I keep my advanced trainer? Trying to decide on the tradeoff between fee and salary. I'm predicting:
- a 25k fee on a 11k contract
- a 10k fee on a 13k contract
- no fee on a 15k contract
