Problem is, that the gap between DIV I and II is so big (at least in my country), that in most cases the demoted team, will promote right away - all it has to do is sell like 1 or 2 players, which is no big deal, especially with the prices that good right now.

That's becoming a problem in England too. We're a bit bigger than Austria but I suspect the problem might be the same in many countries now. I relegated a few seasons ago, and promoted the following season. As did another relegated team that went down with me.

This season 3 of the 4 promoted teams were ex D1 teams. It won't be healthy for BB if the same teams promote and relegate every season.

France (yes a lot bigger) got 4 newcomers in D1 this season.

Good for France. Probably similar size countries have similar situations. I wonder if those countries have a problem between D2 and D3 like the one we're talking about. Pure speculation on my part there though. I thought it was obvious though that when I compared Austria and England, and then said in many countries, I was intimating that I meant similar sized countries to ours, which is the majority of countries in BB. Not many are as large as France.

Your 3 promoted teams demoted and promoted right back or not ?

Well spotted. No they didn't come right back.

A demotion from the point shouldn't mean you will never come back in D1. The goal is that everyone has a chance, demotees and more recent teams.

I agree, though I don't remember anyone saying demoted teams should never have a chance of promoting again.

Cool. How does this correspond with my initial question?

The demoted team makes money like a boss - and from my understanding, the fan survey should punish those teams.

Demoting from DIV I in Austria, means that the next season will be a walk in the park with very high chances to get an effortless promotion right away.

In that sense a restructuring of leagues would help, but that has been suggested before and is not part of this thread.

You have to consider a few botified teams - so that sample does not look that good anymore.

But I get it. Demoting and still making the most money is perfectly fine...

17.000/3.100/460/45 makes 341.266 - demoted team, currently 1st, record 8-0.

12.000/10.000/500/50 makes 331.756 - myself, currently 2nd, record 7-1

18.000/2.000/500/20 makes 325.285 - 3rd, record 7-1

I'd think, that a demoted team should not make the most money, regardless of record - especially if the arena is far from the optimal standard. The "punishment" from the fan survey is non-existent. I will compare at the end of the season again.

Another conclusion would be, that the second cheapest category, is a total waste of money, if you can make the same/more with a huge number of bleachers.
