Well my team's play last night really has me starting to temper expectations for a little while this season. We'll have to see if I can pull a reasonable playoff spot out of the hat, but glad to see top 5 seems fairly reasonable at least, early in my growing pains. Seems some pretty deep, evenly strong competition this year in the top half, and it'll be interesting to see what happens :)

I'm really surprised to be 4-1.

You want my advice on saving cash? Cut staff, I promoted from here with about a 30k staff payroll and am sitting on top of my D.III league with the same people. It's allowing me to make 85k a week and stay competitive, I may get a pop or two less on my trainee but other than that I've noticed little difference.

I called crusadersx to win this season and I'll stand by that but I see a few other teams that could make a run. Orlando you've got the team to do it, you've just gotta get everything on target for a season.

Holy crap, Ice Storm BC's here? I remember back when you were top of the NBBA man

I've definitely myself come to consider low staff an interesting method. I've long since gone level 5, and honestly I've saved up quite a lot of money through training and then selling guys. I think I'm giving it one more restart here which I've done this year, and which suggests to bring about a much better group than before, and if no luck, I may similarly go cheap vets to make to D III and try to save money on training. We'll see :) I don't just want D III, or even higher, I want true sustainability (without "day trading"). I fully believe the way things look so far that I may give crusaders a run by the time playoffs come around :) We'll see!

Good game Orlando! You surprised me by playing normal after spending so many games building up enthusiasm. To pull off a road win in your tough arena when your team is not TIE was exciting.

You did well. Opted to give you a run and use up some of that stored enthusiasm as I've seen these are the types of games that really get fans going (and the ones I want to win). If you got 23-1 this year, I want that 1 to be me like it was for our friend last year :)

My depth just is too raw right now. Could've played a short bench, but really wasn't worth it to dash training that way. With one injury I had one slot to play an older starter, but it wasn't enough with such weak backups inside it looks like. But give me some time, I'm telling you... if I can get it together by late season to pretty competitive levels, the next couple years are going to be exciting around this big city :)

Definitely congrats on the big road win against a (reasonable?) Normal team. Your 3rd quarter just shut me down!

I better watch out then... The third quarter seems to be my teams cup of tea as that was also the case in many other games, including the road win at sharks13 in which the third quarter changed the entire game.

Other surprises include the recent surge of the charlotte lifters as well as the notable success of ncstate, springfield (which I suspected would have a good run last season)and monster island, which right now is my main concern as his team has gotten much stronger and seems to be ready to make a huge run with FC Shocker and the Detroit Darts out of the league.

When are you planning on rebuilding? I bet you have a crap load of cash... I got a bit tanking down from D.III so I can only imagine what the NBBA - D4 must mean

Dunno. I'm only really logging in to check on my 6 trainees. No plan beyond that.
