Maybe you can try to change your entire roster and aim to change it once every season. You should have fun experimenting the various changes in your team dynamics.

After a very tough row of seasons, almost killed by an horrible series of injuries that impacted cash, training programs and competitiveness, I decided to "restart" two seasons ago:

- all my players off (but Scalambrieri!)
- 4 "cheap" trainees (not great but good) to be developed with single spot (3 per week)*
- heavy investment on draft for one season, 0-22 record, first pick (three nice picks)
- heavy investment on court
- down to III, building a smart team this season

last season was awful and boring, only training made sense, but now I am catching fruits.

* 3 would have been better, but with the risk of injuries compromizing the program. In fact, injuries went, and I just changed rotation criteria

I learned a couple of nice things about do's and don'ts. Shareable only with somebody that jumps into this adventure!

I believe you have to create some small "games" (or challenges) inside the game for yourself. In my case, I wanted a team 100% Malaysian and I had the opportunity to buy Samsul, a great NT player, for cheap which makes me want to play in MBBA.

I had a long hard think about making a pure Malaysian team, it's also nice having a small percentage of their salaries subsidized. The difference between making a roster of Malaysians and Germany for example is that Malaysia don't have a lot of trained players in the market. And when they're up, its rare to find players with the skills you're looking for. But that's what you call a challenge I guess ;)

I don't keep my roster long enough to do something like this :)

lol. but its quite doable if you look into it for lets say 8 seasons or so. train guards/bigs first for 4 seasons. then switch.

prob even faster if u buy players
