That could be, except that the last two weeks I have played an 8 man lineup with an inept stamina guy at PG. He managed to get his 48 minutes both weeks. We'll see if he makes it tonight.
Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

the way that i have found to get somebody to play all 48 regardless of how close the game is, is to put them in all 3 slots and also the 3rd slot on the sg position. i have been doing that all season and got my guy full training every week.

a 100% way to get him 48 minutes is play with 5 men (obviously barring injury or fouling out)

LOL, i did that once and still for some reason the coach moved my what is normally PG from PF to SG spot, and moved my PF who was playing the SG spot, I was training Jump shot I think. In the last 2 minutes for some reason he decided to switch them, it was a close game. I can only guess that he wanted a better 3 point shooter in the game at the right position????
the killer thing is it was a Scrimmage, so why was the coach all concerned about winning?
edit:
This was in response to running 5 guys.

2nd week in a row ( I was mistaken that I had already played him 2 weeks) that my inept stamina SF played the entire game at pg using an 8 man squad with him listed in all three PG slots. In fact. it is now 5 games in a row that this substitution pattern has worked. In my scrimmage on Thursday I will be shooting for 6. I'll let you know.
Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I did the 3 slots all season long, and only 1 game it has failed me. Like i mentioned above and my player had fouled out is the reason why..
I play with a 9 man rotation..
