LI is efficient also due to salary efficiency
The back court can simply have od pa and is to score effectively
And keeping a min salary
My guards r shooting 50% despite relatively low salary

The bigs generally have high salary regardless of the tactic
Unless u want to cheat off with no REB
But that will put u in huge disadvantage
Each off reb gives u at least 40% more chance to score
This is hard to achieve if u just concentrate on diff bt inside shot and inside d of the two players
Unlike JR on guards which has no impact on the game if u do inside tactic
The 2-3 zone doesn't work Bc I made my bigs capable of hitting mid range jumpers

The 2-3 doesn't work because the best defense against inside scoring is outside defense, and the 2-3 kicks OD in the hairy peaches.

In terms of the topic in general, I don't agree that it's impossible for an outside offensive team to win, especially since we have Silverbacks in the league who was so successful in the NBBA. But it is definitely a challenge, for many of the reasons you've said.

I think the most important part of making an outside team work is, of course, the big men - you've got to be able to have them slow down or stop your LI competition's big men and still provide as much or more offense than an LI guard. Probably much more offense, since your guards are going to have one or several 5-19 shooting days even though they're supposedly good for 100+ PP100. But of course, to have that kind of defense from a big man and having rebounding (which is massively important) means that you've got to find a way to get the offense from them cheap, and that means keeping their IS way down, training a lot of guard skills, and then hope that you can somehow manufacture enough points to pull out games.

I could definitely use a few more seats in my Arena to compensate for the salary inefficiency of running a Run and Gun team.

I also observed the lack of training and relying on 30+ oldies have finally caught up wth the market

For Utopia... Every Tuesday my opponent used extra effort on me. And every Thursday they went on to lose their cup game. And today I just got CT'd! (not to mention had my big-time C injured too)

Well just bringing that up since you get to play the guy that just CT'd me in your Utopia cup game. So yeah, a cup win is right out there for you, if you want it.

It doesn't surprise me since relying on older big men is part of my economic problems. The lack of good quality trainees in the draft probably has a lot to do with the lack of training I suspect. I hope the new rules means more trainable players in the draft.

I see decent trainees at reasonable price at the beg of the season
But I have to basically tank the season which I am training a 18/19old full time like right now
That is where the game runs into a dilemma
I don't think they can change the drafts anymore
I would just like an additional scrimmage game a week to train some new bees

Yeah, training players while being competitive is one of the big challenges of this game.
I was so happy when Spencer improved enough to be able to start and contribute in games so I could just get his training minutes as part of his regular playing time. Then, it became tough again when I want to train him out of position at PF or C, and I have to move the PF or C to SF where they aren't quite as effective.
Ideally, a team full of uber-versatile players would make all training lineups much easier to manage.

That's where I was fortunate - I was able to train my three bigs as guards and stay afloat in III for a few seasons and then started working on their ID/RB before promoting, and then by the time I got here they could play well enough to be feasible starters. I'm still trying to figure out what's going to be next, though - I am pretty sure that I'd beat most teams in the league and perhaps the country in a "you can only play guys you've trained from 18" match. Most of those wins, in fact, would be walkovers. But the guards are starting to get up in age and the big men aren't youngsters any more either.
