I've dislocated my left shoulder about 15 times from bball before I had the surgery and thank god it's now fine. The problem is I've done my right shoulder about 10 times now and I desperately need the surgery! The right one I've popped playing bball, throwing the ball from the outfield when playing cricket and my new low, when I woke up last saturday morning, lifting my shoulder up in bed it popped out!!!

this i can relate with , my low was a sneeze it popped out n got caught against my ribs and stopped me breathing properly had to go to hospital and it killed like a bitch , worse part was it was at a dinner with my ex's family , the first "family dinner"

Fanny you yet again have no idea. Have any of you played NFL? Ok obviously I haven't played in the real NFL but I played for just one season with a local team here. Not just praising myself here (because as everyone knows I am a worthless cripple with a smashed foot and haven't played any real sport for 15 months now so I am really fat and unfit right now) but I am 6'6", was inhumanly fit and very strong. I had played a lot of sports at various high levels going back to Melbourne Tigers junior rep team, Monash Uni, VBA, and also for some nice teams (not basketball) you may have heard of called Victoria and Australia.

So being 100% arrogant and having a few guys from the gym I knew playing Gridiron I decided to give it a try confident that I would dominate and just smash everyone. How wrong I was. No skill? There is so much skill you wouldn't believe it. The first few weeks we trained without pads and I was quite good, I was mostly in the top three out of 50 players in most of the strength and fitness tests, but once we had all the gear on I was pathetic. I couldn't see, couldn't move and everyone could take me down.

I remember on the seond night with pads a friend of mine who is tiny, about 5'11" was trying to help me and he told me to hit him. I didn't want to hit him so I just ran up and gave me a bump. He told me to do ti properly. He was so small and I was a giant machine of destruction. I gave him a small bump again. He started abusing me, called me every name under the sun. So ok, he asked for it. I took a few steps back, got a good run up and with 105KG going at full speed while he was standing still just slammed right into him. His feet didn't move but I was splattered all over the ground and didn't know what day it was.

After just one season of failure I had a million brusies, many dazing/concussions, several sprains and a torn knee that ended it and would later require surgery. I knew first hand. Gridiron is tough. Gridiron is skilfull. Girdiron is a lot of fun...to watch!

what are the stakes???

do i get a reward for going 3 rounds or do i have to win the fight?

i think if i were to play gridiron i would be a wide reciever. mainly for my athleticism and catching judgement. mind you i am only about 5'11" myself. not really built but i am as agile as a cat and not at all scared to shy away from a hit

you need a bit of strength to be a wide receiver or you will get absolutely punished by the cornerbacks and safeties...

having said that if were to play gridiron i'll play the kick runner LOL... relatively more safe then the other positions hehehe

I'd play as the QB... I have a strong arm and can get the ball to spin right..... too bad my hips are wrecked!!! I have my second operation on my left hip on the 19th of this month

i can easily put a bit of strength on with a bit of weight training

I think we shouldn't make up our mind about a sport until we play it. I played Rugby Union for 3-4 years at the Tight-Head prop (front row) position and I can say having played both league and Union that Union (in my opinion) is by far the tougher sport. It's all a matter of perspective.

Rugby Union is more free flowing then League or NFL. Every time someone is tackled in NRL they get up casually and "play the ball" in Union it's called a ruck that requires the player who was tackled to place the ball behind them for the Scrum Half (Number 9) to start the next play. What I hate about the NFL is the constant stoppages throughout the game, I just lose interest when they spend so much time setting up for plays and so little time actually playing the game.

Anyway that's my opinion of the game, AFL sucks. That is all
