I'm saying this thanks to my experience of small nations. The beginning is always great... hope that this mentoring program will be as great as it is right now in 2 or 3 seasons.

It's like for companies. They can't respond to every specific customer segment. They focus on their core target & once they are big enough, they expand their range of products in order to attract new customers.

It's an advice among any others: controlling ones growth is one of the key success factor in an environment like BuzzerBeater.

Oh and by the way, I don't agree with you regarding training =P. Your method fits if you want to gain mono-skilled monster. But if you don't have some GE knowledge, you'll be running straight in the wall.

I am assuming you mean my method for training centers. Well I did say that I was no expert, but I do think just slamming IS, ID and RE each in turn until the main player pops, with the occasional passing in the offseason is the way to go. I really don't see how they would become mono-skilled monsters. All I am hoping is that they could be triple tremendous by the time they are 21, it really isn't that hard to do.

And here are the stats of one of my own trainees. I wont claim he is well trained as I had no idea what I was doing for my first few seasons! Is he a mono-skilled monster?

Jump Shot: sensational Jump Range: proficient
Outside Def.: sensational Handling: sensational
Driving: sensational Passing: prominent

Nah, I didn't assume anything xD. I didn't even know about your methods. Like I said previously, my posts comes from my own experience. I read French, Spanish and English, so I get to know what's going on in other countries. From what I understood, launching a large-scale project is not the best way to proceed. It's better to go step by step in order to avoid any breathlessness. It's an advice like any others. All I hope is that you guys will reach the expected results ;-). I'm all behind you. Don't mislead.

Is this player a big man? Or an outside oriented one?

Wow if you ever find a big man with outside skills like that then let me know. No he is my backup PG but now that he is too old to really train he has to fill in at SF and SG. When I do some JS training I wont mind if he gets some and he can go back to backup PG. I am sure he isn't up to division II Italy standard but in Australia division II he is a fine backup and as one of my draft picks he probably is fairly cost effective.

X-D! Yeah you are right. Stupid Lao boy that I'am ^^". I just wanted to make sure... in case you were a perfect trainer monster.

Outside oriented players don't need inside skills to be performant. Whereas big men requires more outside ones. For example, with the current GE, a PF will need to master JS, while a SG don't need to even respectable in IS. I don't know if you see what I mean ;-).

I am sure he isn't up to division II Italy standard

has anybody called me?

Roberto Scalambrieri, former Italy U21

Jump Shot: colossal Jump Range: sensational
Outside Def.: marvelous Handling: marvelous
Driving: wondrous Passing: wondrous
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: awful
Rebounding: atrocious Shot Blocking: awful
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: prominent

And there are opponents far better as SG (as PG I think he's one of the best in all II, was required several time by Seria A owners)

This week-end I will finally start seriously to scout India PG's (be patient a lot of work this week). One started already

Yes that guy is ABBL standard. My team which finished top of the ladder in my division II conference last season has never had anyone with colossal anything. Wondrous is the general standard around here but I have to admit while I have a lot of wondrous defenders I only have 1 wondrous jump shooter. And I had by far the best defence in my division last season 1775 points allowed, the next stingiest was 1944 with the median being around 2030. Add the wondrous passing to your guy and he is just amazing.

He is also capped perennial allstar with high decimals probably.

the training was almost perfect (with a good scout helping me for the first couple of seasons) bring him to the starter to Italy U21 3rd in the World Cup.

However, next time I will train him on JS for forward at 22-23 years to increase his IS, it's his only actual limitation.
