My rivals have always been either Silverback or Jack Rabbit.

Lucky me. I've got the Clogs as my rival again. Guess my fans have decided to hold on to the idea that we our rivals since we split our series back in S28 when I Normal'd the last game of the season while he TIE's to save enthusiasm for the playoffs. Never mind that they clomped all over us with reckless abandon 3 games to 0 in S29.

On the other hand, the last five seasons, the last team to beat me ended up in the NBBA. Which either says something promising for you or reveals something about my ability as a manager. ;)

In terms of bad schedule breaks, I think lathrop got the shaft again - a road TV game against me late in the first part, then a road TV game late in interconference.

Yeah, not very excited to be paired up with you for 2 of the TV games, especially starting off with a road one. Two road TV games doesn't help. I'm excited to be over the demotion hump and hopefully my arena ticket sales rebounds finally. With an expected early season road TV loss, not sure if I can make an accurate assessment.

I most concerned about the game engine and substitution pattern. Having players play 47 mins when an equally skilled player is listed as back up with coach decide will get old fast.

Yeah, and unfortunately the only real solution left is to make sure you don't have stamina above average.

I thought they were going to adjust game shape levels to compensate for high stamina guys?

I think they did, but it wasn't a super huge compensation.

They are, but it doesn't change that it's a problem.

I also think that adjusting game shape doesn't get to the real issue, which is the substitution logic.

The GE seems to make substitutions when the guy on the floor has become tired to the point that the next guy is an overall better option. As a result, a player with high stamina doesn't sub out because his value doesn't drop enough so that the backup is a better option.

By that logic, most NBA stars would never be subbed out. Really they are subbed out when they need a rest in order to allow them to play at a higher level throughout the remainder of the game. Better to take a few minutes of a lesser player in each of the first three quarters so that the star is still at a very high level at the end of the game.

Also, as anyone who has played an OT game has seen, the GE tends to start OT with all your backups. Very weird.
