Wow. I have played this game since season 11. Never drafted anything above Superstar. You are lucky. However I am more unlucky.

I hope they eventually have a utopian national team. I still can't quite understand why they wouldn't have one.

I managed to pick up a Utopian Hall of Famer. Woohoo!

Are you going to train him, or sell? I wasted a decent pick last season (19, superstar) by not selling him *and* not really training him. Think I get auto-promoted to D2 though, so keeping him benched was probably the right move.

You'd probably hate me for this, but about 10 seasons ago I got a fairly skilled HOFer in the mid 2nd round... with zero scouting! That kind of makes up for the season where I had a top pick & got a garbage player even though he was supposedly 5-stars.

Dearest Hardly GM,

Please pull strings to come back.

Thank you
Yuck

I think you're wonderful and I'm glad I don't have to play you twice a season. ;)

I did not scout utopia. I like my three trainees. Decided last minute to save my scouting points for the future.

Nice. I had one MVP once, and other than that Mr. Klein seems to be highest potential player that I've ever drafted, certainly at least for an 18-yo. I had a fairly decent Utopia draft for not scouting and having a fairly poor draft pick, though. But I'm still in my "wander about training up five or six guys with star potential until they're capped and then figure out what to do around them" plan. It's just this one is taking longer because they're all eventually going to be guards I think but I spent a whole season on Inside Scoring for PF/C. Figure I might as well do something a little different in Utopia.

Oh, yeah, welcome to the new teams. I'm especially happy to see Locomotive DieselDogs here - a team that I went 1-11 against in III.5, finally winning the last game and then bypassing them in the playoffs. Which, now that I think of it, with that record, maybe I'm not quite so happy to see them in my division, but c'est la vie.

Also, for a second season in a row, we get a hard luck demotee from the NBBA, with lathrop's technical fouls.

As usual, this league is going to be kick in the no-no parts for all involved, and it'll be an honor to match wits with all of you, though as always, the decision to tank and demote is always encouraged. ;)

Revenge is a dish best served cold eh hrudey?
Now i would snatch the pebble from your hand.

I have seen or played in league and cup play (noting the Sungrazers) quite a few of you.

I welcome the challenge!

Not sure. I'm going with the 100% homegrown Utopian team, so he could be the crux of my team for years to come. Also, he could become way too expensive for my team in years to come. I may be stuck in DIV for a while.

Selling him, I could build out my arena pretty drastically, which would be nice.

Ah yes! You had the pleasure of shellacking me out of the cup two seasons ago.
It was that key decision time where I had to choose between winning league games and winning my cup game, and so I played my B team against you... and got severely destroyed.

I'd like to give a shout out to the Serenity Valley Browncoats.
They went through me in the finals to emerge as champions of the PL "League of Extraordinary Potato Salad V".
I think my players were a bit starstruck/distracted as Malcolm Reynolds was sitting in the stands just a few rows back behind his home team.

I've never played the Browncoats, but our Utopia teams are in the same league and PL so naturally we're going to play a TV game here and probably meet up in one or both of the Cups.

@BarryS: I did actually go against Sindy last season in the Cup in both Utopia and in the US. Freakydeaky. Then again, I probably made the II.3 playoffs since I think I beat two or three of them in the Cup last season. ;)
