Haha, well my team is a lot more veteran now...

But one of my superstar's who is 21, is starting to not train as much so i'm focusing more on my bigs this season as well...

well dont give up on your 21 year old. even though he wont train as fast, if he hasnt capped on his training, you will still be able to train him. it will just take slower. I remember with some of my guys who were 23, 24, and doing like, 3 weeks of single position training to get those one or two extra pops in certain skills, and it just makes such a difference, especially the secondaries.

my 2 18yo mvp's are coming along nicely :) Always fun to get a passing pop 2 weeks in a row :)

well theres a few people in this forum. ah my team is doing alright and i have good money incoming if i come 4th or 5th this season i will be happy.

Bot replacement German Kings is already going bot, so I'm safe for 7th which works fine for me, just happy to train my 2 MVP's and make money for the time being. I'll worry about avoiding relegation later. But I'm wondering, given the number of bots around that I might now go back to div 4 even if I lost

just gonna let you know there is not a single decent draftee this season by the looks of it so you may want to finish as high as possible

Well that sux, I thought the lower divisions were supposed to get better players to be drafted

the dispersion of 'draft quality' is supposed to be the same throughout all divisions. The chances of getting a $5k salary Hall Of Famer draftee is the same in Div IV as is in Div I.

Usually it goes something like
2 x MVP or better
2 x Superstar
3 x Per. Allstar
or thereabouts.

So really, you have about 6 or 7 guys in the draft that are worth keeping. Allstar potential guys are still pretty good as well, after that though, unless your guy has some good out of position stats (which you are never going to find out until you draft him) then yer, thats pretty much it.

Did you scout and interview the whole draft already King hUnters?

I can 1000% guarentee that ABBL does not get the same distribution of talent as lower divs. If you read through the ABBL forums for the last couple of seasons where managers have talked about the talent you'll see, I think season 18 someone said there was nothing higher than superstar.

Yer ABBL didnt have a very good draft last year. but as far as i understand it, its all random. Its never set in stone that a draft will have X number of MVP or above potential players. (I think they had an MVP potential guy in there(25104612)) and there are numoerous drafts going on around the world where a good potential player was indeed in the draft, in the top league.

Italian A-league draft last season - Number 1 pick - hall of famer.

Saudi Arabia Top league drafted this guy (11047809) (this was a few seasons ago though).

just doing a search for all current 'All time great' potential players that are currently for sale, they are from a variety of draft divisions, from 1, all the way through to 5. But no real weighting towards lower div's.
I think if you took all draftee's from all the division 4 teams in Australia, then you would of course have more good draftee's, because there are more div 4 leagues, but ive personally never seen any evidence to suggest that lower leagues have better chances of better draftee's.
Though Ive never seen anyone do much statistical research on this in any of the forums though, so im happy to be shown contrary to the above.
dammit im curious now! ill have a trawl through some more drafts from other Div I in other countries, see what i can find.

I have done all 18yr olds but 3 of them. Not gonna bother with 19yr olds
