Nothing like some FLAME on the boards!

SMH? Sorry I don't understand this one.

Always trying to play up your guys.

That is true, I love my players and making great players for the U21 team has been probably my favourite thing in this game.

There is no room on the NT team for an allstar guard.

Sadly you are correct. Konoe and Kawaida have no chance to make the NT, I know that. It sucks for me but it is beyond argument.

You are trying solicit your vote in hopes of getting your guys on the team.

Your 1st 2 points were right but this is wrong. My vote is not for sale! Why would I try to be "soliciting" a vote from someone that will not be running and would have no chance of winning? That would be corrupt and stupid, I don't know which is more insulting that you think me dishonest or incompetent. Did you actually read what I said, that the U21 squad was quite weak and showed my player as an example?

When you said you are willing to vote for BG Samarai because you "saw alot of good progress", you lost credibility. BG criticized the talent on the team as it is now...and you are trying to get an allstar on the NT team?

So you never noticed that we started winning games? After losing 13/14, winning 3 in a row against some reasonable opponents is progress. How can you possibly disagree?

BG did criticise the talent of the team, he was correct, and you are correct that allstars can't make the team. I am not trying to get one on the team.

What I was wondering, was if Umari may have a chance?

Shinya Umari (15030531) Shooting Guard
Weekly salary: $ 38 657 (around $60,000 next season)
Age: 23
Height: 6'1" / 185 cm
Potential: perennial allstar

And I did send BG a bbmail about him and he said the minimum pops he would need to have any chance. I suspect that he is capped (or very close) and it wount happed but I would be pleased to be wrong.

Im glad you posted this because it reminds me to be vigilant in the voting progress. Its obvious from you message that promises via BB mail can get you elected.

I am glad you are glad! I am also happy that you will be vigilant. I am sure that promises via bbmail can get you elected, but if discovered they can also get you removed! Probably a bad idea overall. If anyone does it I will let you know.

"saw alot of good progress". What this before or after BG Samurai said the NT team has no talent?

If you provide me with the date when he said this I can anwer you. For your information the period of progress was:

12/5/2011 9:00:00 PM 64 Azərbaycan 90 - 119 (Replay) 83 Nippon Nippon
12/12/2011 6:00:00 PM 78 Nippon 110 - 108 (Replay) 67 New Zealand New Zealand
12/19/2011 9:00:00 PM 73 Shqipëria 79 - 90 (Replay) 75 Nippon Nippon

I felt a bit bad jumping on the bandwagon and slamming him, although season 17 was pathetic, so I was trying to be polite and let him save some face with his improved performance.

Clear enough? Maybe you are bored reading all of this, butI wanted to make my positions clear and not be misrepresented.

I don't (feel bad). Samuraj's communication was pathetic. The only thing he did in that regard was whine about the team.
I don't want a NT coach who does that. I already know the issues the team has. I want an NT coach who is going to help do something about it: encourage the community to do better, and be a little more stoic about the realities of where we are. Not moan and tell me it's *my* fault - take some ownership of the situation (whether it's yours to own or not).

Thank you Mal.

the dumping on the team was not appreciated.

As for the "improvement", improvement is winning a game we shouldnt, or doing something above our talent level.

but no worries. I got some bigs getting nice an ready for some NT love.

Somebody let me a hold a no. 2 pencil cause they testin' me.

Exactly. I'm not about to give praise for doing something that's expected. The thing that I found annoying was that when the team was losing it was "our fault", yet when the wins happened, it was because of him?
Look: kudos for the wins. Great stuff... but I'm definitely not remembering the past 2 seasons fondly. Matter o' fact, it's something that I feel ashamed for on a personal level - and I'm pretty sure I've apologised to you (swoosh) before too, because of this.
