Zhou Yugui can really score in the middle range but can't defend. He would need a lot of work.

Eesaanan Vats is already 21 and couldn't guard a deck chair.

First much better news on the pop front. Nine pops this week including some important ones. Full details will be on the offsite forums.

Big game against Barbados in Barbados tomorrow. If we win it we start out 2-0 which would be great and already two more wins than I expected this season. Current enthusiasm is 6.

India U21 vs. Barbados U21 106 - 50

Well that was a fantastic result for us. Considering they had home court advantage and put more effort into the game than us, to beat them by 56 was fantastic. A great effort by everyone but Shipirist Rath was our star player.

Considering I feared we may not win any games this season starting out 2-0 is brilliant. Next week we have Costa Rica in India so we will also have a good chance there before we have two unwinnable games against Venezuela and Columbia.

Right now we are in 8th place out of 86 nations in the consolation tournamnet. Brilliant work everyone, keep on training!

Like you said, I thought the match result was quite brilliant.

By our standard, it's pretty hard to win games but I suppose that we happen to be little lucky and get into a group that doesn't consist of impossibly strong teams.

we have great chance to win 4/6 next games.

and as i said in the offsite forums,if we continue to go like this we would make an epic entry into the knockout stages of the consolation tournament...
i dont think that costa rica will a big problem either....

Well far from Automatic but I think we have a reasonable shot there so we will be 3-0 before we have the two close to miracle games which will take us back to 3-2.

The current India U-21 NT rank is not too bad, and higher than many of the teams in the group, but it's kind of misleading because the rank went up due to our performance in season 15 and 16. So obviously at this point, our rank should be much lower. And the opposite could be the case with other countries. Maybe even a country with quite a low rank can be stronger than us. Maybe it's just me, but it's quite funny how even the rank (knowing that it is inaccurate) can encourage or discourage one's enthusiasm and spirit to win games.

First our game went even better than expected. We TIE'd and now have enthusiasm of 10, and despite Costa Rica playing normal they were only able to score 36 against us while we poured in 99. This amazing result has us in the funny sopt of...

So from the 86 teams in the consolation tournament we are currently first! Now I know this wont last as I know the strength of some of the other teams and my own player Mu has been starting for Australia and he would score at will on any of our players except Kaliranjan Selladurai and maybe Aanand Rai could slow him a little. In addition he could shut down any outside player on our team, and he is far from the best in Australia.

But this has been a brilliant shaowing by our team and I just want to say how proud I am of everyone who has contributed to this success. Well done, everyone.
