The difference in training speed between a L5 and L6 trainer is way too small to justify the extra costs.

Ok, I'll bite. What is the speed difference between a level 5 and 6 trainer?

Yeah, umm, I have to say I upgraded to lvl 6 this season and noticed faster training with OD. Infact I had a level 5 or equivalent since season 6 and I get very use to seeing pops at certain times. When I upgraded, I def noticed a difference. So maybe the difference between 5 and 6 is minimal, but so far I feel it is worth the extra 300k I spent.

I remember talking about this in the forums a while back when the new system came out. All i remember from then is that the difference from level 1-2 is much greater then 6-7.
For Example:

1__________2________3______4____5__6_7

To be clear, this is definitely not accurate at all, but rather an image to help some people understand better.
Edit: Maybe someone would like to explain a little more?

This is also my understanding, but not exactly a formula to say that level 6 trainers are not worth their price. I suspect that they are not, as my GM friend said. People are probably overestimating what they can do... I have seen some people say that they give an extra 2 weeks of training per season, and that is not really my experience.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you with precision. However, the rumour that BB-Charles likes to plant is that the differences, especially above L5, are minimal.

I have heard this rumour, but it is still not really enough to determine if level 6 trainers are overvalued. For example, if I am doing one position training only, maybe it is worth it... Or perhaps it is worth it if I am training 2 U21 prospects.

I have yet to see the evidence for or against the current price levels. Also, it depends what price you are talking about, the salary or the initial bonus. I say this because it is easy to find a price model where even a $3 million bonus makes sense, provided it made sense to keep the trainer until he had a salary of $100,000.

My own research seems to indicate that the main problem is that people don't hold on to their staff for long enough.

Hey fellas. Thanks for all the input. I went ahead and sprung for the level 5 trainer. I looked at my division III US league I just promoted to and knew with my roster that I didn't have much of a shot to win this year, so the level 5 was needed to get the necessary improvement!

It depends of what time does the bid end but you can get one for 10000$, no speciality and 11000$ weekly salary.
