You've had him long enough now, SchaBoom. It would seem unfair to get rid of him when you promote given the work he's put in for you. lol

@Bainsy...great stuff as usual

Considering what was riding on this game perhaps little Bainsy was foolish to not try as hard as Mayhem, but they say it is better to be lucky than good and little Bainsy takes it in overtime.

Mayhem vs. South Gisborne Storm 105 - 108 (42969638)

He is in fact older and bigger than me. i think he thought it would be close, due to his GS issues. but with HCA would probably swing it his way. i think he played normal so Mayhem must have CT'd

Today we get some insight into bigsmart, the manager of the 18-0 Sydney Sea Eagles in III.5

1. Inspiration for team name? Manly fan?
well a Rosters fan really but like Manly too - basically spend a lot of time over there at the weekend (live in Mosman)

2. This being your 10th season in III.5, do you think that you have finally worked out what it takes to win this division?
yep dont get injuries, been close a few times but again like this season money is tight and may have to let a player go. Think we have stayed where we have for the past x seasons teams stronger than us have gone up and havent seen them come back - not sure the team would hold its own in Div 2 though.

3. Who is your favourite player on your team?
the only guy to come up from the draft is Mahon (10839781) the rest have been brought in - suppose Swierski (8212069) been around the longest.

4. Would you rather promote by winning the title or are you fine with a bot cleanup promotion?
win it for sure

5. Who in your view is your biggest challenge for the title?
injuries! more from own

6. Having only been put to the test on 3 occasions this season, winning by less than 10. Will you look to add any more strength to your team before playoffs?
no more buys as running very thin on money - might even have to sell someone to stop going bust

7. Favourite NBA team?
none, stopped watching it years ago

8. What is your favourite aspect of this game?
winning, no its fairly straight forward to play but not that easy to make money - well I dont seem to - but I like it as its low maintenance game really

9. Black Label Society or Whitebeard to win the Aussie Battlers Tournament?
White

10. If you make it to Division II next season, do you have ambitions to Fight or Tank?
Fight of course

There you go, The Sea Eagles will be fighting hard to reign supreme in III.5, we can only hope that success will ease their money woes.

Good Luck Bigsmart!

Tonight we head over to III.8 where we have a top of the table match.

Coin Collectors (18-0) vs. Unbeatables (16-2)

The Coin Collectors will head into this game as favourites, however they have both their C's up for sale after the game. Giving away knowledge of their skills right before their biggest conference match, is a little bit of a strange move, unless they are extremely confident of the 'W'

There is no doubt that Cai Wenyu will be one of the players to cause the Unbeatables some grief, Wenyu is in some fine form, averaging 21.8 PPG from 33.0 MPG in his last 5 games. Not to mention that Wenyu has been a focal point in the 6 previous meetings between the two sides averaging 16.5PPG against the Unbeatables.

Meanwhile for the Unbeatables, the obvious danger-man is Hasmawi Mahmood. Mahmood has averaged 16.3 PPG and 15.0 RPG against the Coin Collectors in the past, and is in similarly good nick recently with 65% shooting in his last 5 games.

With some good GS compared to some of the Coin Collectors players, it all depends on whether the Unbeatables can find more avenues to the basket than just Mahmood. HCA also gives them a slight leg up on the opposition. It was hard to tip this game but i think the Coin Collectors might be in too good, and hold Mahmood to less than 20 points.

My Prediction: Coin Collectors by 12

Maggots (18-0) vs. Branny (15-3)

We dont hear much about III.13, we just assume Maggots is in control and that is that. However that is not entirely true. The Maggots have a powerhouse side, that much is obvious. However Branny does have two 87k bigs along with a handy guard in Erich Vonk.

Vonk could prove pivotal for Branny. His ability to feed the massive salaried big men is what makes him so instrumental in this lineup. Being in proficient GS for the game is exactly what he needs to try and swing the game in his teams favour.

The biggest worry Branny should have is that their SG Assrof Bin Sulog is in average GS. Especiially considering the strength of the Maggots guards.

With awesome GS across the board for the Maggots players, flip a coin on who is going to be the most instrumental. Brakenhoff, Ostermann, Rasit Düs, Garbett, Nguyên and Gomez. They are all so strong, it is difficult to see Branny winning this one even with their fairly strong lineup. Had they been in some of the other division 3's they may be a championship team.

Even with HCA for this game i have to tip the Maggots

My Prediction: Maggots by 19

Is there a better team in Division III? i am not sure there is.

dont think i will push for it this season will aim for another win then sell up and take 4th or 5th. But the winner of my conference will come from either Storm or Mayhem i think MTbreds may have some money cashed up though
