England 114-106 Greece England 4-0

England take down Greece against the second crunch of the season

England took on Greece in the forth game of the season in a bid to move to 4-0 and remain undefeated. Following on from last week's win Vs a crunching Macedonia it came as no surprise to see Greece come out crunching also. Greece also predicted one GDP correctly which made this game even harder for England. In an incredibly close encounter neither team made much of a run going into HT, the lead swayed back and forth for the most part. J-Mac supplying 14 of the first half 53 for England. 53-49 to England at the half. The third saw Greece try to edge away with 24 points in the first 7 minutes of the quarter but England fought back to keep it close. The boys had the belief again that they could out last the opposition in the final quarter and they did just that. Taking the quarter 34-27 and scoring 8 of their last 9 shots to secure another very impressive victory on TIE. England never looked like throwing away their unbeaten start, and so it remains.

Feeney Lee's Player of the Game: Connor Marshall 16 points 5 rebounds 4 assists 6-10 FG (40 Minutes). Marshall gave a valiant effort today leading the way with 40 minutes. He held the opposition SF to 10-30 FG, very impressive defence earns him the honour this week.

Another great win today, another team crunching and we beat them. 4-0 is awesome. Next stop Slovensko to try make it 5-0. Let's see what we can do!

Keep up the impressive GS guys, thank you for all the support so far let's keep it up.

England 122-104 Israel England 5-1

England take down Israel against third crunch of the season

As the group qualifying draws to a close, England found themselves in hot water in desperate need of a victory vs challenging Israel in order to remain second in the group following their first loss last week. Israel had to win to keep their dreams of qualifying alive and they made sure to challenge England by using a crunch, something England have been used to this season. A high pace game saw NT approach with England leading 73-61, an incredible second quarter scoring 43 points England were looking unstoppable. Their impressive perimeter shooting during this game was a highlight, after the missed GDP by Israel motion seemed to work its magic, England finishing a prolific 15-28 from beyond the Arc. All in all a wonderful offensive performance sees England move to 5-1, one win away from qualifying for the European championship which would be the first time in the nation's history.

Feeney Lee's Player of the Game: Harry Barker 28 points 5 rebounds 4 assists 12-19 FG 4-8 3PT (36 minutes)

In the final game of the group England face Slovenija, the only team remaining who can challenge them for second place. Its a winner takes all match which both teams will aim to win. It should be a game for the ages. Here's to an England victory!

Sorry mate didn't realise there was a demand for reading the write ups. Was planning on doing the match report and a season round up tomorrow as i've had a busy week. So both of those should be up tomorrow!

Thought all those 3 balls on the last post and the high number of users responding to your game reports would make it obvious that's what we want Zeus

After all, it takes ages for me to find the England NT Schedule page...

England 101-110 Slovenia England 5-2

England drop tough loss to miss out on Qualifying by Points difference

In the final game of the qualifying stage, England had to face Slovenia. The winner would progress to the round robin stage and the loser would be left wondering what could have been. England had been up against it all season and nothing changed here as Slovenia came out crunching. The first quarter gave England fans some hope of a hard fought victory but by HT i'm sure there were some questions. England gave up a season high 38 point quarter in the 2nd, a clinic of offence by Slovenia or lack of defence by England? You decide. The third quarter saw England cut into the lead allowing only 19 points, a much improved effort from the 2nd quarter. England headed into the 4th trailing by only 2 points, 81-79. Unfortunately this time round England could not find the second wind they have so many times this season to take the game. A tough loss for all. England missing out of qualification by a mere 8 points difference. Still a valiant effort from the boys. We were still missing a key player through injury and had to face yet another crunch, so a proud result for sure.

Feeney Lee's Player of the Game: Luke Innes 20 points 8 rebounds 4 assists 10-16 (40 minutes)

This game signals the end of the first official campaign for England. Now its onto scrimmages and a chance for the coach to test out some tactics.
