The group demo is definitely less useful than the combine, but it's far from worthless as well. It really depends on what you're trying to get out of the draft - if all you care about is the high value super trainee (for training or sale purposes) then the odds are that it'll end up being a little less than 10 guys who are 18 and in the 1-2 ball range, and even less if you're specifically targeting trainees of specific heights. Likewise, if you're open to training a 19 year old if his starting skills and potential are good enough, the demo might help identify a target there.

for 19 year old players id only take 5balls skills A+ 5 balls potencial or 5 and 4 with beast heigh like 6.0 for guard or 7+ foot for big man.

If I you get a stud draftee and in a low division it's probably better to sell for long term since the draftee's going to blow up on you. then in the future when you do have the cash you can spend that cash on a stud draftee.


In one thread you were complaining about the drafts being poor and that buying trainees wasn't a good alternative because you be losing out on the merchandise bump you get from drafting your own players. Point taken yet here now you're advising people in low division to sell a stud draftee? You do realize that you're contridicting yourself?

low division is the key word, yeah he could keep him for like 2 seasons for the merch boost but then a salary won't be so sustainable unless he's a 1-man team, you get where I'm at. Stud draftees can be kept in low divisions, but only for the time they can be sustainable. and yeah he could still sell him for a mil if he is GREALTLY trained. if they have no clue about training i would suggest selling, due to the great 2Mil you get.

And MAN why do people never get what I'm saying? I said increase STARS AND ALLSTARS DUDE, theat not NT quality! man no one gets the point..........I AM NOT INTENDING TO INCREASE THOSE HOF+ GUYS I just want more good guys, good guys beener, NOT GREAT guys.. now do you know what I'm saying?

oh yeah blow up: When a player salary gets too high that you can't sustain weekly profit. thats another key word. so...........I didn't actually contradicted myself, maybe you just didn't understand the post and thought I was contradicting............but still after two seasons your draftee is great and has a 70k salary............too much for a D5 team eh?

If you have a draftee with a salary of 70k at the beginning of his 20, you are a very good trainer.



Or it's possible they've just created an overpaid, one-dimensional Center that none of the D1 teams in the world would want on their rosters. ;)

I will have around 50 points to use in this draft.So it will be good to do combine and demo too and after that interview the rest 18 years in high range for smalls or tall players?


If you are looking only for 18y olds, use demo only and only if among 1 and 2 grey balls you find more than 10 18y old players, so you save points. If you however are looking for 19y olds too, then use also demo.

And what is good starting skills and potential for training for 19 years old players?


For 19 y olds, the minimum I'd take are 19y old SFs with 5 balls for skills and 4 balls for potential. Less than that is not worth spending your points on, IMO.
