Right, I forgot about handling. And thanks for rebounding, didn't know that.

So if I want to train SFs, I should get really tall 18-y old with good OD and JR. HN gets trained with JS and 1 on 1, so that's not so important.

i believe the best hight for an SF is 1.90-2.00 even when you could build still nice player which starts a bit bigger or smaller, because additional starting skills could help a lot too. And it is quite impossible to find the perfect SF trainee.

But when the player is really tall and have already OD and JR, thats sounds for me more like a good PF prospect.

I read somewhere that at the age of 18 (and possibily 19), slower OD and JR training because of height is not so noticable as one would think because players are still so young. So if I get a tall player, I will train his guard skills in his first season. Heck, because big man skills are so expensive, I think I'm gonna train guard skills in his both two seasons no matter what. It's kinda bad to train OD for 80k big man at his 21 years. You are paying 80k each week and you are not getting quality performance out of him because you are playing him out of positon, at least on offensive side.

i think the difference is always +X%, and in this case it would be noticeable. I haven't young big trainees in my career to proove it, but with older one the difference was huge.
